Professionally? No. I taught myself with YouTube tutorials, I worked at an amazing little fabric shop as a teen with a lovely group of beautiful elderly women. Everything I know how to do I learned from trial and error or tutorials. I don't understand a lot of sewing terminology but I understand colors and I sold hundreds or thousands of fitted masks for people, many people wanted to wear masks but they had very long or short faces, I made fun pattern ones since they made them mandatory in public and i hated how people were treated who couldn't or didn't want to wear them. Custom fabric tote bags, scrunchies, throw blankets, toddler clothes. Getting back into that would require getting loved, dicked down, and rent paid regularly; I'm not feeling very feminine and creative; mostly tired and apathetic to the bullshit.

I know sewing machines and stitches like the back of my hand because of a previous job. I can point you directions in jobs in your area (they're plentiful in the Northeast, especially if you're willing to work with either firefighting equipment or leather for saddles.) There are VERY well paying opportunities out there for you.

People are paying crazy amounts of money for clothing made with "bespoke" fabrics including military surplus materials and old repurposed fabrics like flour sacks. Also people are getting the hint that a $6 Walmart t-shirt made out of literal soybeans is not worth it when you can buy a $40 T-shirt that looks good and lasts 5 times as long.

People will always need clothes and blankets. And if there ever comes a time that we don't, a career will be the least of your worries!

That's exactly the point. It's a profession that will always be needed, across soooooo many occupations. At my former job, we had a production contract for a product with a company that also sewed the sleeping bags for the international space station. And we also had contracts internally for repairs for the navy and a ton of fire and police departments across the country. It will ALWAYS be a need, and if you're talented, you can always make good $$$$$.
