This one is actually really nice looking, not sure the state of the canvas, but it's got a foul weather bridge, it would be great for crossing the Atlantic. Of course Styx would have to learn to sail, navigate, and probably lose the jacket while at sea because it would get caught in the sheets and on winches.

If you go back and find the link to the listing you can really appreciate the condition its in. Sure its not perfect but its also over 50 years old and for that its in remarkably good shape. Canvas can be replaced but they don't make boats like that anymore, its pretty.

The one I found is $18k if you wanna pledge to the goal, there's another one for $12k but it's noticeably worse off so the extra $6k is worth it.

However rather than gift it I reckon he can get the money together, even if it means taking out a small loan.

Spergatory is designed to confine disruptive posters to a single place where they can't do any damage to existing threads without being banned. The only way out of this is to simply stop posting, and even then, all your previous posts will stay here to embarrass you forever.
