Simply state that Styx committed the domestic abuse while drunk. And has a long history of physical threats and domestic violence while under the influence of various substances. Styx has made many statements on his streaming accounts about his history of abuse of drugs and alcohol, including failures to stay off of alcohol. The best thing for Styx is to make his probation period as long as possible with random drug and alcohol testing. Require him to attend a longer term alcohol support program such as alcohol anonymous. It is also suspected that Styx suffers from clinical narcissism, which leads to his abusive and controlling behavior. To mitigate the harm, please require Styx to be evaluated by a therapist for narcissism, and if the test comes back positive, require him to meet with a therapist on a regular basis to learn how to manage his condition.
I know odds of these support systems working is low. I think drug programs only work 30% of the time. But that is better than zero. And you see Styx destroying himself over time. It is only going to get worse, not better.
Throw the narcissistic drunk a much needed a life line.
Otherwise we are just going to have to open a betting pool on when Styx meets his early death.
