I'll always have what I thought was love for him. He does a wonderful job at creating scenarios to trick your mind/body into being chemically dependent on him in what seems like love but its just lust and lies.

Samantha, we're hard on you but we genuinely believe you can do better. It would be hard not to. As much as we rag on you, our contempt is for Tarl. You've got work ahead of you, but your situation can still be salvaged in a long enough time frame. Since you know that the wizard is just a nerd behind a curtain, don't look back and consider that you have the welfare of multiple children on your shoulders and if you won't do better for your sake, do better for theirs. Styx is a thoroughly loathsome creature and take note of how quickly and thoroughly his illusions of power fade the moment he throws his hat in the ring here. Do what you're gonna do, but I would vastly prefer you made the right decisions. You at least have a fighting chance, but you have to see it through.

The opposite of love is apathy. Hate is very close to love, so to see the hate exchange makes me suspect they definitely have unresolved bumping of the uglies to do yet.
