Rekieta has already said enough to lend credence to the possibility that his nickname does come from the Occult concept of chaos. He made a bizarre unexplained remark in a private Locals stream last year about how God can be compelled through blood magick.

Let's review the case for the hard "r." Impregnates woman and leaves her - 1 point, extra credit for crossing an ocean to do so - .5 points. Can't budget, save or invest - 1 point. Extremely low impulse control - 1 point. Not shy to smack a bitch up - 1 point. Can't stand on his own business, runs with a gang (of supernatural beings from his own imagination, but still) -1 point.

Let's review the case to not use the hard "r." Disrespectful to mother - (-1 point). Shows chest rather than sags pants - (-1 point). Poor drip (-1 point). Can't stand on his own business (-1 point).

Best I can tell, the case for the hard "r" is only made because of the extra credit he got for crossing an ocean to dodge daddy duties. The case seems to have mixed results, forcing me to give him a soft "a" distinction.

Upon review, the score was revised to a 5.5 to 3, giving him hard "r" distinction.

That's why I would tune in from time to time. His videos are very easily absorbed and usually do a decent job at giving an overview of something that's happened. I used to watch/listen to Styx as I got ready for work in the morning. He never gave takes that were all that insightful, but his videos were relatively brief and to the point, he spoke in a level voice without crying or yelling or going on side rants, and he seemed able to summarize recent events in a way that was for the most part not too biased. Then he became more and more insufferable and I stopped listening like 2 years ago. Now he's a complete lolcow. Love to see it.

Yeah I watched him for a long time for similar reasons. He posted early in the day and gave a quick rundown of the news without being too obnoxious. I think I started watching him around 2014ish because Varg Vikernes shouted him out for reviewing his schizo tabletop RPG.

I started listening in 2016, I think, after I heard him interviewed on Molyneux.
 
I listened on and off to Tarl around 2018. I got sick of him (admittedly for petty reasons) when he began his proclamations of "facts" that were opinions, such as "Vermont Maple Syrup is the best" (it isn't), Costa Rican Coffee is the best (tell that to dedicated Mocha Java drinkers) Gardening is a better use of free time than anything you are doing (debatable) etc. and so on.

He also has incomplete knowledge of historical events in context, has ridiculous incomplete knowledge of historical pop culture (which he conflates and misapplies constantly,) and his laughably naive blue pill opinions about male-female relationships (we all see how well he does in that front) and his Jannie sweeping of other iffy content creators.

All combined, I had enough.

LOL there are lots of women are better than me, but none of them will ever be me, no. We can all thank God for that. I don't know what it is about success, but it seems that once you reach a certain level of it, you also develop a subconscious urge to throw it all away (i.e. Rackets). You also seem to suddenly want to diddle kids (i.e. vidya YouTubers).
