No, absolutely not. It would be a compliment to call Styx "safe edgy", he doesn't even rise to that. His positions are extremely safe to vocalize "Trump Derangement Syndrome is idotic", "lol, look at this lefty sperg out", "Americans are getting fed up with elites", etc. He espouses extremely safe, extremely mainline positions and does so ad nauseum. His predictions come with an 85% certainty, so it is easy to shrug off failed predictions as "well, guess this just falls under the 15% margin of error", allowing him to pose himself as a winner for correct predictions and avoid losing anything for failed predictions. Nothing about him is remotely based, edgy or anything similar. There is a reason him and Quartering partner together. He spams the most trivial of observations to subaverage IQ audiences and they view him as some sort of god, because anyone of any intelligence is basically talking a foreign language to them and they can not relate. His extremely high time preference doesn't even allow him to pivot this niche into success, as evidenced by the fact that he neither had the resources to bail himself out or even the social capital to get someone to bail him out with "I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today." He is so low that he "commands mother" and thinks he's a fucking world bending sorcerer for doing so. Styx fails every metric by which one might assert him to be based.
 
I know for a time that Styx identified as an "ex-Satanist" or "ex-occultist." I don't have dates of the beginning or end of this arc. I generally respect people who not only put away childish things, but correctly laugh at their previous positions. I believe in mercy and will always grant clemency to anyone who meets this basic requirement, provided their previous position didn't leave actual flesh and blood victims. I was more than willing to give Tarl a pass for his cringey youth when he was putting up the auspices that he abandoned it. When he went back and did so while either approaching or being middle age, he became lower than a worm. Styx is a monumental faggot and has permanently burned any bridge of being a credible online, public facing persona. The most he can hope for is a quiet retirement if he ever gets the fuck offline and at least makes some basic attempt to live a private offline life. He must be bullied each and every day that he is online. Mercy was granted to him, he abused it, mercy is a one time thing.
