Not how it works. The DA makes that decision. Whether or not her testimony is needed to move the case forward is at the discretion of the DA. Usually if there are no other witnesses, the case lives or dies on the victim’s statement and how that aligns with the original police report and physical evidence (if any).

How does that confirm it’s an “open” marriage? What evidence do you have that Elizabeth is having extramarital relations? Some people want to preserve their sacred lolcow at any cost. There are still those who want to believe Chris Chan is innocent, or that it was the fault of the evil witch Isabella who corrupted Chris Chan's innocent mind. In a way admitting that someone you like did a wrong thing is like having to admit you were wrong for supporting them. We can safely assume that Styx is a manipulative POS from all the evidence, not just the trickle of red stuff coming from Sam's nose. He may not deserve several years in state pen getting reemed out by Tyrese, but he should be forced into rehabilition, for his addiction problems and his seeming inability to maintain a healthy relationship which includes abandoning children.

So let me see if I have this straight. Tarl got arrested for domestic violence. The minute he enters the jail he sees some older black guy snorting coke. Three latinos get busted smoking weed in the bathroom. The same bathroom that Styx had to sleep in because the jail was filled with niggers. They all laughed and called him Jesus. They took away his amulet which didn't seem to matter because apparently you can't use magic to get out of jail anyway. Finally, right before he was about to be released, some retard called in a death threat and Tarl had to put the orange back on. Did I miss any big details or does this just sound as ridiculous to you as it does to me?

Yeah, that is what I wonder about. She could BPD her way into any decision. As someone else noted the prosecutor's decision won't hinge on what Samantha wants because it is typical that the woman gets pressured to not press charges.

And Tarl is busy offering both a carrot and a stick to Samantha.

For that matter, we don't know how to cops got involved in the first place.
* Samantha could have called them.
* Hotel staff or other guests could have called.
* Samantha posting this shit on her facebook could have prompted one of her family or friends like Julian to call the police.
* Maybe that odd story about them being at a restaurant & Styx slapped her because Samantha said something he didn't like in front of the cops prompting his arrest. (Occam's razor suggests this didn't happen without supporting evidence)

It is obvious that Samantha has been relying on Styx to support her. She needs to find finances somewhere else. If she is all of a sudden worried about her "husband" and kids, maybe she is hoping her ex-husband will take her back.

Women are guilty until proven innocent and men are innocent until proven guilty. I just think it’s ironic that the men you speak of treat women as though they’re somehow uniquely evil and men don’t do the exact same or even worse shit. They hold women to a higher standard than each other. I’m not saying that there aren’t deceitful evil women out there, but this idea that men are just poor witto innocent victims and women are nothing but wall hitting hobos who deserve to be treated like trash is farcical in the extreme. I’ve had my heart stomped on by men but I don’t blame ALL men for that and just assume they’re all pieces of shit until they prove themselves otherwise. I blame myself for making poor choices. Men just can’t be at fault for anything ever, apparently. It’s always the woman’s fault.
