Because they don't actually believe that. Satan is portrayed differently in their belief system.
Why worship an entity which explicitly hates you, and your entire species, for its mere existence?
They aren't worshipping anything. This is a common hurdle many experienced with typical religions have when trying to wrap their heads around what Satanism is and isn't.
People who think Satanists worship a devil are Christians applying their belief system to someone else's, and I include edgy loser 'Satanists' who hang out in creepy ruins playing Sacrifice the Cat in this Christians making assumptions category. The ideas of believing in no Gods or Goddesses, seeing gods or spirits as forces of nature and not personifications you pray to, or of having a more partnership-based, free of worship, conversational relationship with one's notion of God can be hard for those steeped in a different faith, believer or not, to understand. Try to think from the perspective of a person who wants each individual to be the god of their domain and go from there.
Satanism isn't about sticking it to the Christians either unless we're talking about that playactor goth gang hiding in the ruins I just mentioned. Satanism is more about individual liberty and taking shit from no one while being respectful to those who deserve it. They provoke organized religions because they see them as negative influences controlling the weak and overstepping boundaries between private and public life. The Satanic pioneers chose to present themselves dressed as if stepping from a horror film, surrounded by iconography chosen to shock; they wanted to slap the complacent into seeing a different path where they could make choices that strayed from the control of established religion. It seems like an appealing choice for a certain type of libertarian.
Oh, and this isn't me running a Hug Your Local Satanist campaign; I'm not a Satanist, but I'm also not a Christian so I've got no stakes in this whatsoever. And I have zero stakes in whatever happens with Styxandhammersdevildude or whoever either. Well, other than the whole domestic abuse arrest thing, being a tits owner and all.
So I'm no expert on this Styx dude - I've never had a reason to listen to some rando babble about political views I don't share - but if I could guess based on my limited knowledge he sounds like someone who likes his ceremonial magic and pop culture Goatia demons. Now ceremonial magic(k) I know a bit more about (not a practitioner, btw, just a dirty pagan who likes to deep dive into what others consider magical) and I can 100% see this guy standing in front of his special alter chanting for his owl buddy. Let's just say he's got the look. His picking Stolas is so lame, even for a ceremonial magic geek. I mean, at least he didn't go all Hereditary for Paimon but, yanno ... this is immature, entry-level shit.
