He was doing really well for a bit in Netherlands. Around that MRE-reviews time up until the birth of Tarlette, the Wee Scurvy Sallybones of the Styx. He did ok for about 2 months after that, and then it set in. Being late to collabs, getting sloppy, being relegated to the shed, etc. He was going through this tism where he would constantly fuck with his backdrop.
About the last month in the Netherlands he was a disaster, and the time in Rutland since has been daily degradation.

I do recall an autistic blunted affect and monotonous droning quality to many of his old videos, and those first videos where he's got the shorter hair, he definitely sounded weird. If I end up watching any of his older videos again I'll have to keep this in mind, you guys are saying you detected that he was fucked up but I guess it never occurred to me until the stream where Sam was getting diddled on screen.

He really had a good thing going. A nice fan base with just enough pay pigs for his low overhead life, his pure-profit books that were cheap and easily consumable, kind of like comic books for esoteric nerds, Just enough notoriety to stay popular but avoid being canceled during the worst of the online purges, etc.

One thing is for sure, if he does disappear there will be a void in the YouTube lineup where someone else could come in and stream the news and "bants" daily to a couple thousand people.

I don't understand your criticism of her. You know it's impossible to help him, yet you (at least to me) criticize her for caring about her own situation first, rather than wasting her time trying to help him?
 
The insistence that he "looks cool" feels notable; it comes up in the streams and also that Facebook post. Recurring theme.

It's one thing to dress weird and then say "it's just what I like, man." But to even think in terms of "cool" at age 37? A person's style should really fit their age, the concept of "cool" is very different through a lifetime. It's like he froze in development at age 15 or so. Maybe he got raped or something..? Tends to do the job.

This was the saddest thing I've seen in a long time. Man is coping hard.
It was interesting that he said he had "been infected". That could suggest something like hepatitis B or C. Jaundice isn't always present, even in late stage cirrhosis. The symptoms he described, and the slurring of words, fits with hepatic encephalopathy. This is where there is a decline in brain function because the liver can no longer filter out toxic substances. Ammonia buildup leads to slurring, appearance of being drunk, extreme lethargy, sleep problems, irritability and personality changes.

Just a thought.
