Thanks to Sarah's incessant shitposting today, I decided to concentrate more on other work, even if it didn't have to be done. Managed to get about 8 years of content partially sorted through, recovered an unused SaaS license, and tonight, I'm a week ahead on Sunday bulletins. Imagine what she could do if she spent less time here!

Granted, California was a wonderful place when it wasn't a one-party kleptocracy. Thought about moving to Eureka in '84 but glad I never did. Place is as built up and overrun with beaners and transients as the southern part, now.

It was a great thread for the holidays, that's for sure. I see none of the principal characters learned anything or grew at all.

Probably, but I also came out well living in a different kind of garden spot and not hemorrhaging money for decades; the cost of living where I ended up is amazingly low. More discretionary funds.

I have a sibling in Humboldt Co. in the redwoods who is still scraping by as a renter, hand to mouth. At one time, she grew illegal bud and sold it. Another time, she was doing stoop labor in a daffodil field - this in addition to her regular profession.
