Single parent household with a working parent does mean you have to miss important things occasionally because the absent parent couldn't be assed to be there consistently. You showing up (doubt) for 1 hour does not excuse a 99.9% absentee rating.

Honestly, if you did show up and he didn't, I'm proud of you. Being there for them means way more than Tarl's occasional checks overseas. I'm not going to hate on that.
 
@Laylithe Sam, I begging you take up the Casino's offer. That chunk of change could really help you sever contact with people who wish to harm you and find a new place to live without you being under the wing of Tarl.

Yeah, it seems like she is trying her best, at the very least. Being present sometimes is enough and if Samantha is trying to sort out her life, that's the best for everyone involved. Perhaps you could do some crafts with or for your kids, it'd be something to cherish and to bond together. Just a thought, of course
 
It's going to be pretty funny when Samantha eventually gets Dylan arrested and he has to share a cell with Tarl. It's got the makings of a hit sitcom.

Dylan had to provide for the 3 kids Sam is legally barred from having custody over. Great that she showed up but it is absolute least she could do since she decided being a productive member of society was not her style and instead bums off of a 40 year old faggot dressed like a pirate.
