I find the anecdote about C.S. Lewis endearing, the one where his pal chastises him for giving money to a beggar because they would only spend it on booze, and Lewis replies that he intended to spend that money on booze anyway. However, you need to find the tone to beg. You are a beggar. Find in yourself the sense that neither the world nor the Kiwi Farms is your perpetrator.
I prefer precision in my giving, I can't deprive my family, and I care deeply where the most benefit goes. That being said, we all know the score: if you want to roll every dollar and smoke it, waste it, ruin yourself, that's all for you.
