It reminds me of someone I talked to in finance that got their investment firm and homes raided by a firm in charge of oversight. And he talked about how after they've raided your house for electronics, he looked at his hand and saw it trembling. Kinda like this:

Especially given how this situation pretty uniquely has a lot of people agreeing that "lol lmao", and that he's had some good comics in the past that were succinct and to the point, it's a good opportunity and a shame he didn't do anything more interesting. Thinking on some of his past comics - "i support the working class" + oil rig guy, "neo leninists are the real transphobes", the infamous "burgers?" - he could have made something pretty striking. Just thinking out loud:
  1. News program on TV in a bar, redrawn crime footage, banner says "Healthcare CEO assassinated"
  2. Two flurks wearing red and blue t-shirts drinking beers, one with a MAGA hat and the other with rainbow hear, both saying "lol" at the same time
  3. They turn and look at each other with surprised looks
  4. They start making out
Easy, stupid, funny, intuitively obvious what the point is.

There are multiple web comics on Twitter and Bluesky that are openly pro-MAPs and advocating for state-enforced transgenderism. This is without bringing up all the shit furries produced on the web. Then again, gamer for Mars bitches about people pointing out black on white hate crimes in public schools in the west is rising.

Sure, Dobson was an asshole, but he was an asshole to some randos on Twitter and Deviantart and the vast majority of people aware of him have never interacted with him, so they just know him as an inflation fetishist, lazy complacent artist and a loser who never achieved his dreams of becoming an animator. Buckley is also just a laughing stock. He used to draw a webcomic that suffered from the same face syndrome and then he created a strip about a miscarriage so tone deaf that it became a meme of its own.

Back when the comic was new Assigned male was as well known as Stone Toss. Assigned male popularized comparing being black to being a tranny among the LGBT community.

Okay, Assigned male might be as hated as Stonetoss, however if Google trends are of any indication, it never achieved the same level of infamy/popularity as Stonetoss, even if we ignore that bump in searches in March of this year when he was doxed.
