So, according to thelocal.se Stockholm has had quite some trouble getting their traffic running after a particularly strong snow storm. A contributing factor why it took them so long to deal with the snow is their "gender-equal snow clearing".
Apparently, last year, Stockholm figured since men are more likely to use cars and women are more likely to walk/use public transport, they decided to be "gender-equal" and thus put clearing sidewalks on a higher priority than actually making the roads usable. This, unsurprisingly, meant that the entire traffic, including public transportation and even ambulances, became unable to use the streets.
Obviously, the person behind this awesome idea says it is not to blame for this chaos.
