My game case has a large sticker over the front. I removed it best I could but its covered in that residue (you still can't see the cover art)

What is a good way to remove it?

Is the game case made of paper or it's plastic?

If it's plastic, first remove the paper cover out of the case, just to be safe. Then try using a cloth with a little bit of sunflower oil.

The oil catches the gooey mess on your cloth and your plastic surface should be smooth clean.

Then clean your case with cleaning alcohol or ammonia, to get rid of the oil, and you're done.

Orange oil. It's cheap and it smells good. It's in a lot of cleaning products for those reasons. But it's better on its own.

Yeah hand sanitizer is great for a lot of stuff, gets silicone off the hands good too.
