Horde shooter. Kill the bugs.

Tower Defense FPS game. Kind of Chaotic. Very fun so far with a few hours played this weekend. Game has major potential if they expand the bug concept and include various Horror/Sci-fi bugs with different mechanics and TD options.

This needs to stop. What the fuck are those sysreqs.

I hope there's a part where a media literate Redditor pauses the game and informs you that YOU are actually the FASCIST BAD GUY! The only actual way to win is to just put down the controls and let the peaceful bugs eat your brains.

16 players is nice. I always wanted more of a war like clusterfuck then just helldiver's 4 players.

I personally enjoy this game just as much if not more than Helldivers 2 personally. Don't get me wrong both are fun, but I enjoy the 16 player co-op. Especially on higher difficulties.

One of my favorite vidya composers did the OST for this
Not as good as his PR/Squad OST IMO

I am convinced I played this not too long ago, and my overall impression was "meh" due to how unstable and laggy it was.

I believe it came out in EA a couple of months before Hell Divers 2 and completely lost the hype to Hell Divers 2. I bought and refunded it as well.

As you said it was just too unstable and laggy, through every one going full Starship Trooper Marine in chat and VO was pretty fun.

I think anyone coming from Helldivers 2 to this will feel disappointed in the comparatively weaker and cheaper presentation, but otherwise will find a rather comfortable casual feel to its gameplay, even though it's about gunning down hordes of giant bugs. It's an extremely straightforward, arcadey game with a playerbase that generally cooperates and communicates with you and others well enough. I do like how when if your team fails the mission, you can still attempt to retreat. There is a linear grind, but I think the beginning part is the only difficult segment of the grinding, as you're unlocking the basics for each class.

There are things I like about ST:E. It's a good mindless horde shooter. I've heard a lot of reports of crashing but have yet to run into any major issues. With FSR and frame generation I get 100+ FPS in most situations, which I appreciate.

I'm more than a little miffed at Casper van Dien because he completely phoned in his role for the campaign, which is a shame for how hyped his role was.

Played a ton of this when it hit EA a year or year and a half ago. Haven't played since the classes were redesigned, but the loop is fun. Especially like the mode where you have to complete objectives and defend simultaneously.

What kind of toaster are you running? Those are literally right at my specs.
>works on my machine
Enough to run Doom Eternal on 1080p144 Ultra. You're a part of the problem. I look at these visuals and I see Battlefield 4, and Battlefield is more than a decade old.
