Force-ghost - the ability to pass on your wisdom and knowledge after death in very infrequent and inconvenient ways.
That's only in the new canon. In the old canon, Sith force ghosts haunt the tombs of Korriban. Some even incite wars or baptize new initiates to the cause. The Exar Kun War was fueled by two Dark Jedi that the Sith spirits supported.

Sith ghosts were very common. Usually they hung out on their planet and tombs, but sometimes they appeared outside these areas. They are most relevant in the Old Republic trilogy of games, but in the comics and other games they were present too. These ghosts were spookier than Jedi ones, and often did maliciously haunt you if they could.

It was pointed out that Sith dark magic and alchemical (whatever they use, spells, formulas, rites, whatever) knowledge was lost before this era. The idea of some bantu village being able to create life through Force Scissoring each other until Mr Garrison says shiver me timbers, is retarded.

If some big Sith did it with a lab and a temple and all that, that's believable. But a bunch of savages chanting all the numbers they can count (all 3), which is lower than your average Ogryn (retarded warhammer ogre) ?

That IS in line with Jedi teaching, however. They teach detachment and are taken from their families as infants. Anakin was judged too old to join because he was nine. To Yoda and Obi Wan, the fact that Vader is Luke's father is an emotional tie that he must overcome to complete his training and become a true (detached) Jedi Knight.
That kind of detachment explains why the people went along with the Jedi being destroyed. They were detached from the world and couldn't give less of a shit about their needs unless the Senate told them to care. At least Dooku tried to respond to the needs of backwater yokels who lost faith in the Republic, and Palpatine's Empire at least pretended to care about bringing peace and order, not to mention creating countless jobs all over the galaxy.

Now that's not to say that this isn't closer to the dark side or not, just that it's not hypocritical for the Jedi. They're a fusion of Chivalric knights, western monasticism and Buddhist philosophy. Their whole thing is that the person must subsume themselves to the will of the Force and to them, putting bloodline or personal attachments above duty is a selfish act.
I'm pretty sure neither Buddhists or Chivalric knights would cast love as the enemy. Buddhism, last I checked has no problem with love, and Chivalric knights in the Christian tradition have a strong romantic tradition and are even ''encouraged to love'' as Anakin would put it. The former would have no problems with Anakin courting Padme, the latter would openly encourage Anakin to do it. As for western monastics, they're encouraged to love everyone as Christ would tell them.

And ROTJ shows us that the Jedi are wrong about love, since far from condemning Luke, it saved Luke AND Anakin. So even from a Lucasian, SW canon point of view, the Jedi are wrong about love.

Disney SW is severely messing up due to the fact that they don't actually understand the philosophy and are deconstructing it in favour of moral relativism and Progressive oppression-stack politics.
Not to mention neo-paganism and Wicca, especially with how they want us to sympathize with witches.

It was a silly story anyhow. It was marketed as playing as Vader's apprentice and a dark force user. But even when Starkiller actually serves Vader he does so with doubt.

Everyone was doing silly force moves.
Vader actually constantly bumbles as the emperor always knows what he is planning and Vader's plans constantly backfire.

Compared to even previous star wars games it came off as being corny.
That's all thanks to Lucas, by the way. The game devs just wanted a game where you play as a Wookiee and smash things up. Lucas mocked the concept, tossed it out, and made them do a Dark Apprentice for Vader instead, just like how in TCW, Ahsoka was originally meant by Dave Filoni to be Kenobi's second apprentice, but Lucas trashed that and made her Anakin's apprentice.

Similarly, Dark Empire once had a more realistic plotline where Vader's armor and mask is donned by some random Dark Jedi who then leads the Empire's war against the good guys, and he uses his dark powers and some new superweapons to frighten the New Republic. It was a more subdued and realistic plot, but Lucas canned it and told them to revive the Emperor instead, and they decided it would be through cloning and spiritual possession.

So again, this game where you've got insanely powerful Force moves is something Lucas himself approved of and pushed for. Just like the comic where Palpatine has OP Force powers and superweapons was something Lucas pushed for as well.

Galen's crest became the Rebellion's symbol if my memory serves me correctly. It still saddens me that there was seemingly no ending to the Force Unleashed series itself. Galen takes Vader as a prisoner and then...poof. I'll assume he got killed by Vader before Ep. 4.
Exactly. Galen's family crest, left to him by his dad, is a variant of the Jedi symbol, and it becomes the Alliance symbol. According to Sam Witwer, TFU3 was going to have a rematch between Galen and Vader, but this time, Vader is prepared for Galen's shenanigans and counters every trick he has.

In order to emulate this, I would just put in Soulcalibur IV after beating TFU 1 and 2, and play as Vader vs. Starkiller.

They are most relevant in the Old Republic trilogy of games, but in the comics and other games they were present too. These ghosts were spookier than Jedi ones, and often did maliciously haunt you if they could.
Not just that, but they could attack you or even incite others to fall. Satal and Aleema Keto, for instance, worked with Freedon Nadd's ghost, as did Nadd's descendants.

It was pointed out that Sith dark magic and alchemical (whatever they use, spells, formulas, rites, whatever) knowledge was lost before this era. The idea of some bantu village being able to create life through Force Scissoring each other until Mr Garrison says shiver me timbers, is retarded.
The witches should've been made into a Sith remnant instead. Then you could have a proper battle between them and the Jedi when the Jedi realize that they're twisting the Force to create life. It would also explain why that evil twin is hanging around with a Sith. You can even explain the good twin wanting to work with the Jedi because she's tired of the Sith and wants a different path.

If some big Sith did it with a lab and a temple and all that, that's believable. But a bunch of savages chanting all the numbers they can count (all 3), which is lower than your average Ogryn (retarded warhammer ogre) ?
It's stupid as hell, and like you said, if it was done by a Sith, it would've made more sense.

Incidentally, I've watched none of The Acolyte but did watch Critical Drinker's video. I take Outrage Pedlars with a pinch of salt though it did look bad. The only thing I was curious about was how that poison thing worked on the floaty Jedi. I know he drunk it but why? Was he tricked? Did he think she was giving an offering? Just curious.
no he's my new favorite disney made character. he just kills himself. for no reason. he knows he could either be in a show with this level of writing, or die. he chooses to die. he's my hero.

It's clear to me that they'll show he reacted badly to something the witches did, which leads to all of the witches dying, but will be presented in the worst way possible(from a story telling prospective) and not something that would make him decided to drink the poison after only a minute of getting guilt tripped.

There's also the fact that the Jedi are displayed to be WRONG on more than a few things. Like say, love. Love is something the Jedi avoid like the plague, yet it saves.
In the Republic comic series there was a plotline running parallel to the story of Anakin's downfall about Quinlan Voss being saved from the dark side by the love of his life.
That was before Filoni turned Quinlan into a silly Jedi surfer.

I think it's also a power that's denied to Sith because they are unable to make peace and become one with the Force. I think when Legacy Palpatine's final clone died, he was dragged into oblivion by all the spirits of all the Jedi who had ever lived.
In the old EU Sith were able to form ghosts but those ghosts were tied to an object - Exar Kun to his temple, Karness Muur to his amulet, Freedon Nadd to his tomb, Darth Andeddu to his holocron - or they needed a host to possess. So it was a bit like eternal imprisonment.

That kind of detachment explains why the people went along with the Jedi being destroyed. They were detached from the world
Except when they weren't. They had a hand in their own fall because they were so attached to the idea of the Republic and their role in it, that they struck the first blow in the Clone Wars in their attack on Geonosha. At every turn, Palpatine feeds them the rope they need to hang themselves and they take it because whereas earlier Jedi who truly adhered to their teachings would have accepted the turning tides of the Force and accepted the Republic's time was passing and that they too must change their own role, the Jedi of the prequel era have lost sight of that detachment. They profess detachment but cannot let go of their position and their history. Palpatine understands this. In the novel Plageius(1), Sidious and Plageius talk quite a bit about feeling the shifting balance of the Force and how to use it. The Jedi feel it but fight it and are swept aside. Ironically, it's the Sith who by this era are going with the (cosmic) flow and the Jedi who are trying to control it.

I don't think the philosophical failures of the Jedi were why people went along with them being destroyed, though. I think it was economic failure exacerbated by an increasingly unpopular war that they started... and that secret police would arrest you as a Jedi sympathiser if you spoke against it. People just wanted order, and welcomed it with rapturous applause *ahem*.

And ROTJ shows us that the Jedi are wrong about love, since far from condemning Luke, it saved Luke AND Anakin. So even from a Lucasian, SW canon point of view, the Jedi are wrong about love.
I think there's enough nuance in Lucas's output to look at it from a few different angles. Lukes love for his father did win the day. Yet Vader's love and attachment to Padme doomed him. One could think that it was being forced to keep it secret but I think that's not the theme here - as a knight, he wasn't supposed to try and serve two masters. He was supposed to have dedicated his life to the Jedi order. Not be a Jedi in the day and family man on evenings and weekends.

If there's a unifying view in the Lucas media, I'd say it's not that the Jedi or the Sith are right or wrong, but that both fail at what they should be. The Jedi seek a separation from personal desire and become blind to their own pride and intransigence. The Sith when idealised would be what Anakin should be - able to love, able to right wrongs and be avenging furies against those who hurt them and their loved ones. But the Force is so out of balance that all you get are Palpatines and Vaders whose self-interest (Palpatine) or grief (Vader) who spread nothing but pain. Both the Jedi and the Sith are ideals, and all their real practioners in the PT era fall short. I don't think Lucas ever showed that the Jedi path was wrong so much as he showed that the Jedi themselves had strayed from it. And I don't think that he ever showed Anakin's love for Padme was wrong, but that his inability to let her go and his fear of losing her led to his fall.

These are epic themes and the worst thing about Disney SW is that they don't understand these things. Or if they do, that they ditch them in their rush to do modern day political propagandising.

Okay, both of you - I need more because I really don't want to watch The Acolyte but none of this makes sense to me. What actually happens here? She's trying to kill floaty dude, she can't touch him. She goes to Poisons R Us and gets a vial of deadly stuff and brings it back to him. Does she tell him it's an offering? Poison the well he drinks from once a month? What? Are you saying she literally just walks in, puts it in front of him and he picks it up and drinks it without a word? Why? What is the actual show explanation for why he drinks this?

He drank it because he was told by the evil bitch and the script that he had to die because he felt guilty. He felt guilty because it was somehow the Jedi's fault that her retarded and evil ass was assumed dead after committing implausible arson. And it was somehow the Jedi's fault that the sith witches abusing force rape to procreate and walling off their children in a cult killed themselves.

It's not only a dumb as dogshit show, but also has the attempted "cool" evil twin character just suck ass at fighting or scheming. I suspect that this is because they want to lie about how she's going to "improve" as she gets more evil training from plot twist venomette master, but it's dumb. It's literally just because the Jedi let her kill them.

And I will note I'm not watching this shit. This is osmosis from people who have been dumb or paid to watch the show to shit on it.

There's a female Sith Lord that I absolutely adore. She's Legends continuity now, and only appeared on the PSP/PS2/Wii versions of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. I'm speaking, of course, about Darth Phobos. Born on the ancestral Sith burial world of Korriban, she was a ruthless and cunning woman who slew many of her fellow Sith. She developed a fanatical cult that spread fear and terror across the galaxy, inspiring countless failed assassination attempts against her. She was so reviled that a joint mission between Jedi and Sith was responsible for ultimately killing her. Even so, the horrors she left in her wake were enough to make the Jedi use a holocron of her as part of the Trial of Insight at the Jedi Temple in Coruscant.

I vividly remember being an autistic preteen staying up unfathomably late on school nights with manky earphones popped into my PSP as I was reading the biographies in the character compendiums. That entire autistic sperg above wasn't taken from Wookiepedia either; that's entirely from memory! Fact check me and tell me how accurate I am, if you so desire. Nothing that Disney made in the years since acquiring Star Wars ever evoked such wonder from me, and I loathe the day when they decide to make Darth Phobos canon again and turn her into an edgy girl power icon.
I liked Phobos because she looked like Carmella Bing in alien makeup.

wow, this episdoe was so bad even the paid for shills are having issues defending their 8/10 rating.

You know things are bad when the critics you paid for and the woke shills whose ideology is more important to them then their life start changing their scores downward before they lose that last shred of respectability.

This is a weird ass timeline

i just thought i'd share this
what a shitshow

"He could influence the medichlorians to create...life..."
"Sure, gramps but uhh, that isnt new."
"Huh? What? What you mean?"
"I mean, the Jedi records have this section talking about these force witches that used the power of the thread-"
"Thread? Where did a thread come into our knowledge about the for-"
"thread to create life."
"But did they have to like, make some sort of human sacrifice or something? I mean, surely that cant be just done just like that, my mas- I mean, Darth Plagueis would know.
"No, all they had to do is chant 'The Power of One, then Two and then Many' over and over"

"Anakin, be very fucking honest with me. Have you been using Death Sticks?"
"Never as far as Obi-wan knows"
"oh thats a rel-what? What was that?"
"What?"

"So where was I? Oh yeah, there was this thr-"
"Actually Anakin, keep it to yourself. I think Im going to remove myself from here."

"Well, his loss I guess. Im still watching this for free"

" Execute order 66 "

I'm tired of "new age" female writers adding witches to every fucking story. We get it, you worship evil, you're so edgy...

Bring back witch burning, that will change their attitudes.

Anyone else notice in the last couple of days a sharp increase in pushed Star Wars advertising on social media? I go onto Facebook or Twitter and there's so many pushed posts. Most of the comments are people saying the shows shit.
No because I don't have social media of any kind. That shit got old after the first 4 months of learning what a Facebook was and I never looked back. Unless you absolutely need one in order to keep in touch with people you don't care enough about to give your number too, or it's for your business, I don't understand why you'd bother having any sort of social media account.
when your shilling comes back to bite you
It only comes back to bite them when it hurts them to the point of slowing down production. As is, they make out just fine thanks to the shills and retarded reviewers who hate watch the shit just to say "hey you know that thing that obviously was gonna be shit? Well guess what? It's bad. Make sure to like and subscribe for my weekly reminder of bad thing being bad".
I know someone who claims to like the show. It's a gay Asian man. He said he likes the diversity. I didn't bother to ask anything else.
You're first mistake was associating with a faggot.
Actually, Mace Windu had way too high of a standard; hence why he was doubly hard on Anakin and didn't trust him. If anything, Mace's problem is that his standards for Jedi were way too high. Of course, that only counts for demeanor and loyalty to doctrine; in terms of fighting skill, Mace's comrades, whom he took with him to fight Sidious, all of whom were Council Masters, were woefully lacking compared to him and Anakin.
God bless you, genuinely, for responding to a shit post in complete sincerity. You're my favorite Lord. As for the other post you replied to, regarding the completely fucked situation in terms of Light/Dark/Grey morality within the force, the fact George allowed people to play in his sandbox within his rules doesn't negate the fact the man himself has been very firm in the whole "Dark Side=bad" and "Balance=no Dark Side". And this is even after he did the Mortis shit, Starkiller etc. George is simply not afraid to attempt to poke holes in his own views and create room for people to question what is and isn't right. Fact is, at the end of the day, it's Dark Side=Evil as far as Lucas is concerned.
"Gray Jedi" is just someone using the light side but not being a member of the order, same as "dark Jedi" is just someone who uses the dark side but not being a proper Sith. Jacen Solo tried to put himself beyond light and dark and ended up becoming a Sith.
Jacen just reinforces the idea that there isn't a true middle ground. He did what he did for genuinely good reasons, and look where it got him. Eternity in force purgatory, essentially.
This reminds me of Jolee Bindo and Qui-Gon as a pair of gray Jedi who had disagreements with the Jedi Council.
Jolee and Qui-Gon aren't even grey. They're pretty explicitly do-gooders even if they're mavericks who butt-heads with the council simply because they listen to the force itself and not what an arbitrarily appointed council of elders think.
