Chasing them was okay. Those were her orders. She could have set a fucking timer on a fucking photon torpedo and got back home in one episode

Also she basically took a big steaming turd and smeared it all over the prime directive all the while yelling at everyone else about how they did the exact same thing even when they really didn't
The Caretaker was a nice old man so she was obliged to ignore the Prime Directive though. Or something. That entire storyline made no sense.

Isn't there an episode where Kim is accused of a crime by some aliens and taken prisoner and Janeway refuses to go in guns blazing to rescue him, cause it would run counter to everything Starfleet stands for and then, just a few episodes later, someone else gets taken hostage and her solution is to go in guns blazing, saying the Prime Directive takes a back seat to the safety of her crew?

I swear I remember something like that.

The ride never ends
Oh god, this is . . . amazing.
They pulled out Spock for Season 2, now they go for some terrible non-gender type person (undoubtedly he'll endlessly drone on and on about his specialness and lecture people on it and be a smug shitstain).
There's 21 producers running this show, has none of them realized it might be worth a shot to have writing that doesn't suck ass?
Star Trek is doing absolutely catastrophic and all these guys do is equal to rearringing deck-chairs on the Titanic.

There was episode with the prison ship. If that's what you're thinking of.

Then there's equinox where arguably Ransom is the more honest Captain even if his actions were shitty.

To be fair Kirk also shat all over the prime directive, as did Picard and sisko (unwillingly for the most part imo).

Odo worked as a non gendered being because it didn't matter. He was that show's Spock/Data.

Dax worked because it didn't matter. The whole lesbian kiss episode was incredible because the lesbian part was totally irrelevant.

The INSTANT genderlessness starts mattering to Starfleet is when the show is truly over.

It's amazing how "evil" Janeway comes off as more reasonable than the real one.
But hey, at least you can say that Voyager wasn't afraid to make fun of itself from time to time.

I really fucking hate that they think this is revolutionary. As @FrickinFrackinFruckin posted, it was done decades ago. All these issues have been addressed. This series is obviously not for fans, but dumb fucking mongoloids. I agree with Mike that anything after TNG's 'All Good Things', nothing is canon. All the movies, CBS Series are not canon. Only Deep Space Nine and Voyager are canon. Maybe Enterprise if you want to be generous. But everything has been so terrible, its just not canon to me. Its just corporate beancounting trying to make money on nostalgia of people who never liked this in the first place.

The worst wish of nerds was to be accepted. They never were. Instead they get all their shit hijacked and fucked with.

(See? This is why we have to kill all humans.)

Michael Chabon is now the showrunner of Star Trek: Picard.

My most important question

...will Picard have Starship hands?

I hear that in Season 4 they're going to break new ground and feature a space ship on a star trek show for the first time ever, even if those space ship hating bigot troll russian bots hate it!

Come on man, this is science fiction, not science fantasy here.

Janeway was a Nazi bitch who was the real villan of the show.

Kate Mulgrew deserved better

She was so fucking awesome when she got to be evil.

Fuck the Even/Odd rule, you can judge a series on how much its Mirror Universe/Everyone Is Evil episode sucks. TOS? Good mirror episode, not amazing. Enterprise? Best Mirror episode ever; series sucked. Voyager? Yeah its not the Mirror Universe but its still fucking great and i love it, series was bullshit. DS9? Horrible fucking Mirror episode. Great series.

Edited for coherency. Also, superior video acquired.

I recall reading somewhere that one of the writers pitched a mirror universe type episode that never made the cut. Basically all of the multiverse captain Janeways were all in the Delta quadrant and they all got fucking rekt. Except of course for Captain Mary Sue prime universe version.

Like they were going to have a Klingon Voyager a borg Voyager a mirror Voyager and all sorts of other stuff.

It's a shame they never green lit that. Or a TNG mirror episode. Evil Picard would rock.

I wouldn't doubt that there was probably some internal policy that only let DS9 use the mirror universe. From what I've read of that time. there was all sorts of internal politics and silly rules about which show could do what things.

and yes I know she's not really a mary sue character but she might as well be. I I'm sure Captain Picard and sisko knew how to use a transporter. They also knew to let Chief O'Brien do his damn job. The older I get the more her micromanaging bothers me.

Oddly enough I thought Archer was a good character for what the show was trying to do.

TNG was so utopic that having a mirror episode for them basically fell on the shoulders of Yesterday's Enterprise. Its a testament to TNG that despite its utopian bullshit Yesterday's Enterprise was fucking great.

we already got ebil picard with locutus.

You have to imagine that Mirror TNG only got good once Mirror Riker shaved his beard off in the second season.

The original video that started SFDebris' "janeway is the real villain" schitck.

Umm... DS9 had multiple Mirror Universe episodes. It was almost a rule of 1 per season once they started them.

In mirror universe Barclay is a Giga Chad who cucks Riker and Picard.
I actually read the Mirror Universe TNG novel that was put out (may still have it). Not only does it actually set up the Cardassian/Klingon supremacy in DS9 (well before the show IIRC), but in that one Barclay is actually Picard's badass bodyguard.

Still dies but he does it defending his captain.

Mirror Pulaski is one of the most likable characters on the ship.

Mirror Crusher strangled Mirror Wesley to death because even in the mirror universe, he's insufferable.

As much as I like SF Debris, I didn't actually take Mulgrew that seriously until I saw her getting to act in a more brutal manner. I also didn't start watching him until some time after I started watching Voyager. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that she's big in Orange Is The New Black despite never having seen it.

They all fucking sucked. Evil Emperor Worf of the Klingon-Cardassian Empire should have been awesome. Instead cloaking devises. Fuck everything about that. DS9 compressed all of its awful episodes into its Mirror crap and that one tranny episode in a devil's deal to have the best drama in the franchise.
