What's your favorite episode per series? Mine are:

TOS: City on the Edge of Forever
TNG: Tapestry
DS9: The Die is Cast
VOY: Blink of an Eye
ENT: I don't know, maybe the one with the augments?

The Orville: A Happy Refrain
With the first three, what can I say - I like Sarek (and Amanda).
 
I haven't seen any of DS9, Voyager, Enterprise, or STD (snicker) so I can't really say with those:

For the shows I have seen:

TOS: A Taste of Armageddon = A great and unique take on the whole of idea of trying to play peace maker between two warring tribes

TAS: The Practical Joker = I like Star Trek when it is goofy and this was a nice and solid silly episode with a rather interesting antagonist.

TNG: Best of Both Worlds Parts 1 and 2 = I mean...its better than most of the Trek movies. It is flipping great with one of the best cliffhangers I've ever seen.
 
So hard to choose...

TOS: Balance of Terror - just a solid episode
TAS: Yesteryear - so good it may actually be canon
TNG: Almost any 2 parter & anything with Q - I have a real soft spot for Unification (sheer fanservice) and Redemption
DS9: In Purgatory's Shadow/By Inferno's Light - really if it has Garak, I'll watch it
VOY: Scorpion 1&2 - though Equinox is a good choice too, scorp is also "aka what VOY should've been"
ENT: I have deleted that show from my memory - maybe if I watch the last 2 seasons I'll have a fave
STD: the end credits <-- totally stealing that joke
MOVIE: Galaxyquest
TOS MOVIES: #4
TNG MOVIES: First Contact
NU MOVIES: Beyond

ORV: Majority Rules

Honorary Mention: "Where No Fan Has Gone Before"

Most streaming service shows are planned for three seasons. I forget the reason why.

The new Picard series is already set up to be three season. Possibly.
 
god teh orville is good! that 2 parter was epic and succeded where alot of other shows failed. I almost cryed over a robot....
 
This is probably giving McFarlaine too much credit, but I'm starting to think that a lot of these episodes are supposed to be reflections on America's relationships with the world.

For instance, the Moclans. They have resources we want and need. But we have to put up with their practices of genital mutilation, honor killings, and execution of homoheterosexuals.

The two-parter? Great work.

I mean, a lot of these are lifted directly from the pages of TOS and TNG, but they do it in their own style, which I really enjoy.
 
Shame they wrote off the Krill so quickly. As much as I like The Orville, sometimes the stories feel like they're written by bullet point and not fleshed out enough. This episode really could've used a scene where the Krill commander is standing triumphant and considering turning his forces on Earth only to get talked out of it by Kelly.

Also, thanks for the meme fodder.
