You guys excited about the Cheerios star ship model kit? You know, from that cartoon written by that niggeress that constantly self inserted herself into it and even named the ship after some faggy Californian city no one ever heard of that she loved.

Yeah it's kind of ugly, maybe the ugliest starship a company ever sunk $500,000 into tooling a model kit of--but it's only $65 dollars.
How do you get to engineering? I can't remember if they mentioned that in the show. Imagine walking to work everyday through a warp nacelle, you'd be a sweaty mess everyday.

That thing is hella ugly and for a late 24th century starfleet ship it seems really too old school for the rest of the time period. Also, the stupid nacelles look like they were pens or highlighter or something like they did with one of the TNG models.
TBF, the whole point of the Cerritos is to be the cheap, crappy ship assigned to unimportant sectors, so using salvaged Galaxy parts makes sense for a Frankenship. Too bad the Nebula just does it better.

Original series fans used to roast TNG because everyone's just chilling on a day-glo set like it's The Love boat. (SNL also did a sketch about it.)

The Galaxy class is so tied to that "history’s over, let’s wear footie pajamas and fuck in the holodeck” vibe. Nobody wants to admit it looks dated because it's better than our current dystopia.

Yeah this was scribbled up by someone with no design abilities. I'm stunned a corporation volunteered to spend a fortune having steel tooling cut and a run of kits produced of such an abomination.

And why is the deflector dish and engineering section in the center of the nacelles? It just doesn't look right.

Thing is the Nebula looks better and we've never gotten a proper model kit of it despite it being featured in multiple series over the decades. But somehow this ship gets produced despite Lower Decks being not very popular. And a $65 dollar kit, which is way more than the Enterprise models every sold for new even after taking in inflation.

It just shocked me that it existed and cost so much. Make a tiny diecast model of the ship, they do that for every design already, but these kits are expensive to manufacture and no one ever asked for it.

Phil Hartman makes an excellent Klingon warrior.

This is what they took from you:

The Nebula class is a super popular design that could have used parts from existing models of the D to make a new kit.

Equinox Class Model Kit.png
They could of made an Equinox class which is less popular but is still a better looking ship than Tawnee's cartoon. Too bad they didn't use this class of vessel for the show because it makes more sense than the cobbled together junk they did use.

Failed Akira Class Model Kit.png
The company that did make the Cheerios model had actually planned on making the Akira class, another fan favorite that people have been requesting for decades. They got so far as to making a prototype then cancelled the kit in favor of making the junk ship no one asked for.

This is another example of the current Trek show runners ignoring the fans and forcing their slop instead.
