can one of you guys and gals who knows the lore better than i do explain something for me. something which has bothered me about DS9 is that it is portrayed that Bajor is having problems with food, farming, supplies, and even famine yet in every episode we see the replicators make as much food as anyone ever wants. we also see tons of trading and cargo ships traveling around yet replicators have been show to make almost anything a person wants. so is there any in lore explanation as to why a planet would ever need farmers and trade ships rather than simply using a replicator? why cant the federation just give bajor a few replicators and solve all their problems? just a random star trek thought which bothers me.
Bajorans are retarded and were better off under Cardassian rule.

Bajor is not part of the Federation and the highly-religious, self-reliant Bajoran government would have to clear any and all of that. They just got their planet back and while appreciative of Federation sponsorship, the Bajorans are consistently skeptical of any other power that wants to be their caretaker.

I was doing some research on Memory Alpha late last night and somehow followed some links into Star Trek Discovery stuff without realizing it. For a while I thought I was still on Enterprise but when I started reading about "the burn" and as I became more and more confused I had to double check what series it was all from.

What in the fuck is STD doing to Star Trek? They really hate this series if they're nuking the Federation on top of the time travel nonsense and disdain for the fans. It is fitting then that a show called STD has "the burn" included with.

That was actually exactly what I thought when I tried to watch the first few episodes of Discovery. "Wow, the writers must REALLY hate star trek." Either that, or they never watched it.

so rather than accept a replicator from the federation they would rather watch their people starve to death? in that case they fully deserve to be occupied by the cardasians, no race that retarded should be allowed to self rule.

@Grand Wizard Wakka Fuck you, nigger. You rate me late because I don't watch shit? I will fucking skin you alive you shitstain fucking faggot.

They want to solve their own problems and believe in the will of the Prophets.

The will of the Prophets was to have the retarded ridge-noses be occupied for 50 years by the superior Cardassians so they could build Terok Nor which would become DS9 so that Bajoran nigger jesus could become the emissary. Those orb-worshipping tards should be thanking Gul Dukat and the entire Cardassian Union for what they did.

The Burn has got to be one of the most creatively bankrupt ideas in the last fifty years. It’s basically a not so subtle reboot, allowing them to “make a new federation” without actually having to acknowledge the previous shows in any meaningful way.

Also “federation collapse” was a common fanfiction trope in the nineties and early 2000s, the only difference is the Wokeness.

They're some of the cows I follow.

The show basically rebooted itself. Even drastically changing everyone's personalities for no explainable reason.
