I liked the Israeli PDA /pager joke.
This video, or rather the game choice, felt sort've half-assed. I think it primarily down to the game itself rather than Seth no longer having "it" as it were.
There's a bunch of games out there to do content on but many of them are less than half-complete or covered elsewhere. If there's less to say about something because the game itself isn't conducive to it, then the video will end up being boring. Usually the game has to have unpredictable elements (to form a story for Sseth to tell), be generally unknown to the wider web, but also possess mechanics that are interesting to talk about due either to their uniqueness to other games or the wide array of options the player can take advantage of. If lacking in these elements, or the title not possessing an element of interest to Sseth, the video can be kinda middling.

The Gamma video was more of a re-tread of the difficulty/bullshit elements of Stalker given the gameplay differences seem rather minute besides the injection of gun autism and some anomoloy gameplay changes. If the mod is "Stalker but with radiant quests and gun autism", and that's the assessment of it from what I gleamed, then yeah, it wouldn't really be a game with much to discuss. He didn't really talk about the story but if there is none then yeah, there was completely nothing to talk about. I think the one video Sseth might've jumped the gun on is Quasimorph. The video did get me interested in the game but it could've been Starsector-tier at least if there was a complete game to talk about.

Xenonauts 1 or 2 could be worth covering, maybe?

One of the big reasons why I tried Intravenous was because of sseth's video and I find it good combination of stealth and action that works really well. Really any game that doesn't have much traction that turns out to be a hidden gem either because it's old or unknown is good to work with. Fuck there are a ton of old RTS games from the mid 90s to mid 2000s that could be hidden gems to make videos on, whatever it be good or shit like TA:Kingdoms.

Gamma is interesting with how does things to give it a unique playstyle from other Stalker games. But if you already played Stalker then you know about 80% of what it's like already and I feel like half of the things sseth discussed was already discussed in his previous Stalker video because again, it's just Stalker with a lot of micromanagement.

Maybe, I am rather surprised he hasn't covered certain games at this point, especially looking at stuff the clearly likes. Deus Ex, Dishonored, Thief, Disciples series, further old school RPGS like Planescape, games in a series the already covered like Elder Scrolls or Gothic. Not to mention the teasers he sometimes put in his older videos.

I think his videos will be good as long as he talks about games he finds interesting. Not even if they're good or bad or perfectly suited for him. If he can say something like "It's a kiddie pool which you drown in" about it, he's probably got other interesting things to say about it.

elin video was alright too but it felt like filler even though he *allegedly* decided to put some extra hours in the game.

I think for his Dwarf Fortress video he basically took a couple of stories from an another Dwarf Fortress youtuber then presented them in the video as his own, if memory serves. It might've also been the Space Station 13 video. Or he did it for both. I think the channel he took from for Dwarf Fortress was Kruggsmash. It never really made huge waves, and I'm actually considering whether it actually happened since I can't find a single thing on it now, when I was more or less certain Kruggsmash did a video on it. He might've also just copied verbatim some greentexts or something and passed them off as his own. But again, can't find a thing.

Maybe it never happened at all...

I find all Dwarf Fortress stories are about the same. Like they follow the same plot layout. Same goes with Space Station 13. Doesn't help that once people find their favourable way to play those games that's all they'll do.
