It would be neat if they included straight ports of the originals alongside the remasters.

I'm a little in the dark with a lot of newer games, did the N.Sane trilogy do that?

Guys, Moneybag's redesign just got leaked. It's so glorious!

It's actually looking really good so far. Really loving the Dream Daddy Dragons.

This is what Nestor looks like now, took the design some polishing to get something a lot better. I remember some of you guys in this thread weren't pleased with the turban version.

This modernized look is so bad. Why is he a carpenter and why is he bipedal? Here's how he looked in the original game.

He's depicted standing up but he's clearly hunched over like it's unnatural and his "hands" have no opposable thumbs.

Are they gonna do this with every character, give them jobs they never had? Why can't it just be a straight up graphical bump from the first game without creative meddling?

He's a sculptor/carpenter, because he's from the ARTisans homeworld. The graphics of Spyro are very vague, so a lot of things are getting reinterpreted, you could argue he's "hunched over" but it could just be bad modelling.

I'm extremely biased since my earliest gaming memories were basically Spyro 1 and 3, but I don't really like the changes to the character models. It feels off. What made the N. Sane Trilogy work was that it was a graphical facelift. They didn't really change the characters' appearances, just how they appeared on 8th generation hardware.

I don't mind making the animations bouncier or adding more detail, but what I don't like is trying to make it different since that contradicts the point of making the remakes in the first place.

I think it looks okay, but it's interesting in the first place that they're giving new designs to characters that barely had any screentime. In the original, most of them looked almost exactly the same with one or two differences.

They also each had a single solitary line of dialog.

I think that’s a smart change. The dragons have big personalities, and are almost all different. Some of them have accents, like I remember in Tree Tops there’s an African or Jamaican dragon, so it’d make sense to give them a unique look as well since that’s what the technology can allow.

I don’t like the looks of the Monks in Spyro 2 tho. They look like cows. And the Spyro 3 side characters are changed a bit too radically IMO.

Still, the game will play great like the originals and I’m glad Copeland’s back to do the soundtrack remastering. He’s even done a new piece for the game.

PS, this game's /v/ threads are military grade :autism:

This managed to surface from that tism pit, though godbear knows if it's even real

Edit: found a yuki.la link to it, but that still doesn't prove that this is real

Taking the 'My dad works at Nintendo' meme to a whole new level.

As nervous as I've been with this whole affair being in Activision's hands, I'm more willing to believe TFB will use the two month delay to the best of their ability whether it resulted from the game being incomplete or if they genuinely pulled for a delay to get all of this on one disc after the amount of backlash.

This naysayer needs pics or it didn't happen.

True, but at least it’s better than another fucking ”””narrative””” game
