I don't get it why people have long lasting grudges such as that? That was in like what? High School. They already graduated, so why the fuck should you care about people that hated you in High School? They're living their life and don't blame the world for their problems.

The Fat Man, a prominent SportsSuck poster, is also a massive left-wing conspiracy theorist who blames literally everything wrong with his life on sports, religious people and Republicans.

Note that he has been doing this on the internet since 1996, and has almost never held a paying job in any capacity. And he's in his 60s now, and still hasn't progressed beyond high school.

Also, going back to sports fandom, my main issue is that society seems to expect you to be a fan, regardless of who you are. I don't expect people to give a fuck about things I'm interested in, so why should I care? It's like, of all the things one could sperg about, sports seems to get a free pass.

I can understand their anger to some degree, but creating an entire site just to tell people how you so don't care for sports is taking it kind of far.

It's seriously no big deal, though. You can pay a minimal amount of attention to sports enough to keep up with casual conversations, if you care enough about that, or you can *gasp* *shock* *horror* be known as someone who doesn't give a flying fuck about sports at all.

Or, I suppose, you can be a gigantic sperg and make your whole life about whining about what a victim you are because most people like something you don't.

Exactly, and for better for worse, it's almost always a good idea to know just enough to say oh yea, go team and X player is my favorite. Sports is a big thing and a common topic socially and professionally. You don't have to and shouldn't like everything but you also shouldn't rain on someone's parade.

If you choose to isolate your self, you can expect to be isolated.

These people aren't on the real issues with sports they are on the fact people do like what they don't and hold grudges.

It's not bullshit, but it definitely feels like a direct ripoff of some pop-science show he saw on PBS (with added autism for flavor).
