I've been playing this game since September, and I have to say, buying a WiiU just for the game proved to be a great decision. I love it, and keep up with all of the rumors of playable octolings and such.

Anybody else play Splatoon here?
 
My boyfriend's really into it. He tried to help me learn the basics and made me play online after doing single-player mode for a bit. Needless to say, I myself suck at it so far, but I do think it's a fun game all things considered. The music is catchy too.
 
So far I've been trying to hack Splatoon to no avail. Performing a model swap seems simple enough, but not with what I have.

I need playable octolings, dammit!

I just bought a wii u but next time I get money I'll prob buy Splatoon (I have Mario Kart 8, Pikmin 3 and SMEEEESH)

You definitely should, it's absolutely worth the money. I could help you grind levels too if/when you get it. (I'm level 39; I'm addicted.)
 
Favourite weapons, anyone? Mine's the n-zapper '89.
 
My little sister won't stop forcing me to beat DJ Octavio over and over just so she can hear the Squid Sister final song. I tried to get her to just listen to it on YouTube but she refuses. Fuck Octavio--- I have no idea how I've beaten it so many times and it's unbelievably hard. Am I the only one that stress sighs over that level?

Also Aerospray RG is the shit and my favorite weapon.
I'm working on the Squid Amiibo levels. The Kraken levels are a blast but the limited ink ones are such a buzz kill. I'm good but not THAT good
 
My main is the sloshing machine 100%. That thing is a beast.

And of course I'm that one loser that didn't stop until they beat the amiibo challenges-- One of the rewards for the kraken challenges being a jukebox DJ-like game. Much better than waiting for Splatfest music or fighting that damn octopus and his wasabi beats.
 
I could only get the girl amiibo, so I've only done the sniper challenges. I've actually taken up using a charger so I can actually get use out of the stuff I won, but I'm crap at it and can only get splats when I've got a scope on it. People probably see me as some level 41 with a E-litre 3k and think "Oh good, someone competent" and I'm embarrassingly bad at it. :oops:
 
Boy do I feel that. I'm awful with chargers.

I wish there were brush challenges, to tell the truth. I'm actually pretty good with one.
 
I love the Octobrush but everytime I go to use one the stage lineup is terrible for it (Blackbelly Skatepark, I'm looking at you), so I end up sticking with the same gun. I haven't tried the new set-up Octobrush. The triangle bomb things will be useful, I'm always wishing I had something to throw. I forget sometimes and place a beacon which is fantastic when I've got someone coming at me. :roll:
 
Ooh, NA splatfest was just announced! Past VS Future.


...I'm going for future. To a future with playable octolings.
 
I'd choose future, too. ...On the other hand, going back in time and frightening people with lighters sounds fun. ..On the other other hand I'd get kidnapped and burned as a witch.
EU's Splatfest just ended last weekend, so I gotta wait until February now. :heart-empty:

Aeorspray RG is the gold one that kinda looks like a paintball gun, right? Cause that's the one I tend to stick with.
 
Ooh, should've asked sooner-- What're everyone's levels? Mine's 39.
