I've been picking up the Dejah Thoris series by Dan Abnett and to be honest I'm doing it for the B&W virgin covers, the story is meh to be quite honest it starts off with climate change which honestly is an interesting angle but is soon swapped out for the standard political intrigue (assassination of Dejah's family) and the thing which was pushing the narrative forward in the first couple issues is put further back than the back burner and hasn't been mentioned up to where I have read.

I do not rate Abnett since trying to read Triumff: Her Majesty's Hero despite liking the !st and Only Fluff.

tbf the climate machines exist in John Carter of Mars lore and are relevant enough.

replaying the two sonic adventure games has gotten me more interested in the series again. Its also put Ken Penders directly on my map. I have decided to take a deep dive into the autistic degenerate and flat out bizzare Archie Sonic comics. Ive flirted with the idea in the past but what pushed me into doing it is learning that Penders put a fucking Mein Kampf quote in a sanic comic.

I mean, I'm super curious about the characters with prosthetics.

The one using c.2010 running blades is supposed to be the alien PoC Flash replacement for Justice League.
The other's showing up in the Legion of Super-Heroes. The cyborg legs are odd, but I'm still reminded of (New Gods) Orion, who sort of appeared in the "The Great Darkness Saga".

alien POC?

man we have like a dozen speedsters back in the game. Aliens aren't bad but the Flash lore doesn't deal with them as a primary thing/
Seriously? Fuck that, and fuck that jogger. OG Flash or bust! No Legacy Characters!
I'd be up for Jay Garrick joining the JLA.

Anyone reading DCeased 2: Dead Planet? I'm surprised how good this series is and a step up it is from the first, Tom Taylor created a wish fulfillment Earth-2 full of Legacy characters as the Trinity (Jon,Damian and Cassie) , all it took was the Zombie Apocalypse to get it. It's going to be heart breaking to see how it all falls apart. Also this is the best "event" type book DC has put out in a while especially since it covers so much of the DC universe New Gods, Trigon etc.

The Green Lantern Season Two #8 that came out recently was amazing, Liam Sharp has been experimenting as much as Morrison has throughout the run, and Sharp busting out a very Heavy Metal esque art style is awesome for the Anti-World issue and it's neat because his normal style is also very British but more classic 80's 2000AD.

Why do writers hate Dick Grayson being Batman? Jesus Christ, you'd think after the success of the Batman and Robin run and The Black Mirror that they'd realize that Dick is probably the only character people would accept being Batman outside of Bruce but they always keep him as Nightwing for what-ifs or reboot shit and make him James Bond/Nightwing.

I love Grant MOrrison's stuff even if he doesn't always win in execution. He's just fun.

New 52 killed that tbh.

DC built this up as one of the most important Batman comics ever. This is another thing that Rebirth was building up to.

And it just feels like another Batman Vs. Joker story. Nothing about it feel spectacular or unique. It’s not bad, just not as great as it was marketed to be.

I'm kinda surprised he never showed up sooner, to be honest.
I'm still longing for control freak to be made a cannon DC villian. You'd think they'd have done it by now but at this point if they did they'd probably portray him as a full on mlady fedora with lanyard and shoulder bag full of buttons 4chaner... actually if done right as a parody that might actually work

I think they wrote themselves into a corner with that reveal and it took them years to come up with something

He's in the current Teen Titans book rn.
