With the talk about Green Lanterns I thought I would ask: what's your opinions on the sister title, Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps? I think it opened strong with "Sinestro's Law" and has remained solid since in my view, though I feel Robert Venditti derailed Soranik Natu's character. It's not that I hate Green Lanterns, but I like seeing more of the Green Lantern Corps like Kilowog, Salaak, and others.

I also like Josh Williamson on Flash. Flash (vol.4 ) #38 was one of my favourite issues because of Barry's character progression.

Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps is a fun book, although I think they way they had Kyle becoming a Green Lantern again was kinda of stupid. Also I wish they would have kept the partnership of the Green Lantern and Sinestro Corps going a little longer.

I agree on both counts about Hal Jordan & The GLC. Soranik felt really out of character when she sperged out, and Kyle magically becoming a GL again was weird. All that said, I still like it a lot.

I'm still iffy on Bendis writing Superman, but I'm interested in his plans for Action Comics. It seems that's going to be his "street level" book, and he wants to make Metropolis as interesting a place as Gotham. I like that idea, since often Gotham feels like the only fictional DC city that has a crafted history and stands out.

Is this a bit? It's the stupidest fucking thing I've ever read. Are they ripping off Rick and Morty with the 'fake memories' schtick?
I'm curious with why Quicksilver's head and face look weird. Also, who's the white-haired chick they're placing in the memories.

They're pumping these out once a week so the art's noticeably shittier

They've retconned her in out of the blue.

I'm afraid that I already know the answer, but is this some kind of supervillain thing where their memories get replaced with falsehoods and they don't realise it, or is this a honest-to-god retcon they're going to genuinely run with and expect people to accept?

My guess is they're trying to do the same "This hero was always there and everyone forgot!" schtick that Marvel did with Sentry in 2000, and DC did with Triumph in 1994.

I'm not saying it's good but the fact she got booted out of canon due to a Triumph counterpart was neat. Mostly cause I'm a massive continuity whore so the original Squadron Sinister, who were based on "another universe" in canon, having a "forgotten member" like the JLA is some nice cross company continuity.

That's like the only aspect of this that I like.

The entire thing is really fucking stupid and I hope Mark Waid gets taken off Avengers after this. When they first teased Voyager (that's the character's name) in Marvel Legacy #1 I thought they were going to go the Sentry route where everyone forgot her and they need to figure out who she is to end the current crisis. Instead she literally just shows up in the first issue of Avengers No Surrender and everyone knows who she is. She literally reads like a perfect Mary Sue that everyone loves and it fails horribly because the reader doesn't know who the fuck she is.

I actually really enjoyed the Sentry when he was first introduced back in New Avengers, he was basically Marvel's version of Superman who was plagued by the fact that whenever he did any act of good his enemy the Void would respond by doing something twice as evil. The story had a good mystery, everyone was trying to figure out who the Sentry was and why no one could remember him. The eventual reveal that Sentry was also the Void was a good twist, and the reveal that Sentry essentially committed suicide by not only making the world forget he existed but also altering his own memories so that he thought he was an entirely different person made him a really tragic character.

The way Avengers No Surrender is going, I'm assuming that Voyager is eventually going to be revealed as a villain since she magically shows up when all the senior Avengers are out of commission and her powers make her conveniently very useful during the current crisis.
