Honestly, it'd be an interesting retcon if this Jon reflects on himself before triggering some set of events that reverts him to being a child and wiping the memories clean. Let him tearfully admit he's messed up before taking some sort of huge sacrifice and disappears. Jay disappears forever and we find out that the real Lois never came back from that trip with Jor-El.

Sets up so much shit. We don't even have to overtly link homosexuality to childhood trauma.
Or reveal that adult Jon and kid Jon are two different characters

I mean the way to fix Jon is obvious, it was literally how they fixed his dad during Rebirth, he’s already got the gimmick. It’s only held back by the little shits from Warworld
I had my own idea that was slightly more metafictional. Basically since Jor-El was already a temporal paradox, him taking Jon outside normal spacetime and returning him to Earth-0 as a teenager created a temporal "knot" that threatens the integrity of the timeline. The Time Masters (led by Rip Hunter) warn that Teen Jon is an aberration whose continued presence causes further damage, causing entire eras to bleed into each other. One of the major casualties is the Bendis Legion, whose timeline unravels as a result of the temporal instability because Teen Jon's presence is unnatural. Of course, this was all orchestrated by Dominus (a reality-warping villain from the late Triangle era) who manipulated events to both damage Superman's legacy and use the instability reshape the Earth-0 universe to his liking.

The only solution is to bring back Kid Jon to his proper place in the timeline and thus negate Teen Jon's existence.

Of course, Teen Jon resists anyway he can. Trying to find solutions that inevitably fail--reflecting how he was unable to rally the heroes in Dark Crisis and how Waller used him as a weapon. Eventually, Jon comes to terms with how his years-long imprisonment messed him up emotionally and made him fear that he'd become like Ultraman. Eventually, he gets some proper closure with Jay and makes the decision to go back to the moment Ultraman imprisoned him in the volcano, rescue his younger self, and restore him his correct place in the timeline. DC can frame it as a selfless sacrifice while restoring Kid Jon back to factory settings. It's not so much an erasure as Teen Jon still existed, but before his proper time so he could be bisexual in the future, but that's no longer the focus of his identity.

this won't happen because a faggot can't be held accountable.

How is Rip Hunter not a villain yet? I'm sorry, I never understood how he is tasked with protecting the timeline but allowed Thawne to alter the timeline.

Fixed points in time, wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey technobabble stuff. Or speed force time travel is incompatible with Hunter's method, so Thawne can't be tracked. Or editorial just doesn't give a rip.

Pun fully intended.

Completed my N52 run of Green Lantern Corps.

The thing I never liked about Jon was the idea that he, a half-breed would surpass his father in power.
They probably got inspired by Gohan from Dragon Ball.
That makes him the perfect jobber for Clark. Adventures of Superman: The Book of El had the antagonist (Kryl-Ux) defeat Jon off-panel. Meanwhile, Josh Williamson completely sidelined him in The House of Brainiac.

House of Brainiac was pretty good. Honestly, Williamson's Supes run is one of my favorites that's running right now. I mean a book that has Prime taking over the title in March is kinda the fun book I love.

Like you have Doomsday as Time Trapper.

Both of those things are objectively hilarious.

I like the idea that if Supes is gonna live forever, there’s some of those rouges who’re never going away and will stalk him for life which is eternal.

Brainiac, Henshaw, Doomsday, Darkseid, Mongul and Mxy are never going away. Kill Mongul? One of his bastards rises up. Kill Brainiac? Good luck with that. Kill Darkseid? He’s gonna make a universe where you look like the gay guy from Dune.

And its not like Lex wouldn't find a way to live forever in some form or fashion

Post-Crisis Lex already transplanted his brain into a cloned body to pose as his own (Australian) son. Then made a deal with Neron after said body started degrading heavily.

Figure he went from that to acquiring a map of every existing or potential Lazarus Pit on the planet to keep going. But if not, he'll stick around some other way.

Looks like DC Comics released their March 2026 solicitations since my Jon Kent sperg-out and it's. . . interesting to say the least for two reasons.

-There will be a "Reign of the Superboys" event where Kid Jon will be showcased in Superman Unlimited #11 via (I presume) time travel.

-Teen Jon will be officially joining the Titans with New Titans #33. My read on it is that DC may be close to giving up on Teen Jon as they're parking him on a title (along with Yara Flor and Stephanie Brown) with a high chance of cancellation in the coming year. Tate Brombal is not a major talent who brings a large readership so I question if they have much faith in the concept.

Is it contrarian to say that Angela is a boring fucking character, and I can’t see why anyone would give a shit about her one way or another? I saw her pop up in a Marvel comic last week (Dr. Strange, maybe?) and just thought, “Damn she looks out of place here.”
Nah, pretty spot on. Typical Gaiman fare, way too fantasy to fit into Spawn's more urban setting, even despite having the whole Heaven vs Hell theme going on in the background. I liked Cog, i hated Angela and Medieval Spawn.
Batman is hyper violent, like stab you in the eyes and cut your hand off violent.
They maintain he doesn't kill people but yeah, that mofo is dead.
Biggest gripe here is Bruce isn't rich yet still seems to have all the recourses he needs.
Plus, Bat-AX... Nuff said.
But, uh, is it good? I wanted to read it for a couple of weeks now but didn't find the time yet. I am not huge into Batman but i picked up the odd stand-alone or short run this year and ended up liking some a lot (already sperged about the stellar Arkham Asylum a while back).

Do you think Kamala Khan would have worked better as a DC character?
Possibly, the idea of a character who is an unapologetic fan girl of the main heroes would probably work better since Wonder Woman is a better character than Carol Danvers. And you'd have moments where the Teen Titans welcome her in and she gets super excited about her first team up. Her trying to take selfies in the Batcave could be funny. But this was during the New 52, when DC needed everything to be super dark and serious, while she's a light hearted character who needs to be goofy to work.
