Like The Question, Strange Adventures, Miracle Man and Booster Gold minis, which were all about middle aged men being pushed around by their cunty wives/girlfriends?

Tom King is a man with one story that he just tells over and over and over again.
Question? You mean Rorschach? The only time I can remember him writing the Question was that dream sequence in Batman.

Its a distinction without a difference.
Ah, I see.

Honestly out of all of the Watchmen sequels and prequels, I find this one to be the most disappointing.

Some of the Before Watchmen stories were good, the HBO series was an interesting interpretation, and Doomsday Clock had some great moments.

We’re only two issues into this and I already hate it.

What do you guys think is a better service: DC Universe or ComiXology Unlimited? I’m trying to make a decision

finished reading Garth Ennis' The Boys.

I like a lot of it more than the show counterparts. James Stillwell is a great character that I'm sad didn't make it into the show.

Homelander is a bit more interesting than he is in the show. While his actor in the show is amazing, his character is essentially just evil Superman, how he turns out in the comics it's a bit more nuanced.

I like Frenchie and the Female more in the comic as well. Ennis was able to do this weird thing where despite them having less lines and less backstory, I cared about them more. In the show Frenchie kinda clearly just wants to fuck her, where as in the comics his love is much more true and almost paternal, which I think is nice.

I liked Butcher. I think Butcher is a fascinating character and I understand why the show had to change him as much as they did. It's no different from the watering down characters like that always get.

Looking back on the things Butcher said and did, you can really see what he was doing the entire time. His actual intentions and manipulations from the start are all clearly there, you just don't see it the first time.

I liked the way his story ended. But I've also got a soft spot for asshole british characters after all.

Comixology is better. If you're into it, the indie books they have are great. The power rangers comics with Lord Drakkon are pretty fun, they're more complex than the tv shows.
I'd like to tackle the Rpm universe from Doctor K doing what she did leading up the the founding of Corinth without the rangery stuff. It could be like Terminator

I ultimately chose DC because I only really read DC comics (although I might start reading TMNT) and because it seemed less expensive in the long run, but thanks for the response.

Haven’t seen the series yet, but did they really genderflip Vic the Veep into a superpowered congresswoman? Cause if they did, I’m starting to think the writers just skim-read the comics.

Vic the Veep is so completely different and separate from the congresswoman that I don't think they're even related. The entire president and Vic thing is something I think the show just dropped entirely.

they did gender bend stormfront tho.

Looks like the trannies are at it again. After getting assmad at Wolfsbane's death by public mob in the pre-Hickman X-Men series (Which has been retconned since by HoxPox), now they are getting out the pitchforks at Dan Slott.

See, the latest issue of Fantastic Four has Franklin Richards (son of Reed and Sue) recently lose his Omega Level mutant powers. So he calls up Charles telepathically and Chucky is all like, "LOLnope, You can't come back to our super special island. Turns out you were never a mutant, and you were just using your powers unconsciously to scan as one. See ya never, kiddo!"

So of course, much like with the Wolfsbane incident, the trannies (who barely touch comics except to turn them to shit *coughMagsViggagiocough*) are now calling this "transphobic" too, because even when there are no trannies involved they make it all about trannies.

Some of them are even accusing Slott of turning Franklin into Rachel Dolezal. LOLWUT? Dolezal WILLINGLY faked her blackness. Franklin's mutant status was done without him consciously doing it.

Too bad Slott hasn't learned the #1 of surviving the WokeScolds: ignore then and DO NOT APOLOGIZE EVER.

They just want attention and based on the replies from some, they've already got itin their minds that Slott wants to murder every real life tranny that exists.

I guess if they were actual fans who read the comics, they would know that Moira wasn't believed to a mutant, Gwenpool got retconned into a mutant, Squirrel Girl was retconned to not be a mutant, ditto with Wanda and Pietro, and people though that Kitty might not be a mutant either. CALM THE FUCK DOWN.

or we basically get to see CG-fied smut? With a femaleVictoria the veep, that'd be pretty funny

does it really matter? this is akin to finding out that you don't really have down syndrome, you're just an aspie.

man i can't wait until they find the Chuck Austen run tbh. the mutants can't get aids shit getting revived on twitter is going to be funny.

YES! Fuck yeah! The muties have one less omega dead end. Anything that brings the muggas one step closer to extinction is a good thing imo.

I remember being able to get 3 and 4 packs of reprints at Toys R Us back in the early 90's

Just sitting here wallowing in the schadenfreude because Dan Slott deserves every bit of invective thrown his way. I can enjoy the spectacle of a bunch of idiots doing the right thing for the wrong reason.

Yeah, this seemed like a REALLY bad decision. It just feels like it’ll just Yara Flor in name, but her personality and story arcs will just be copy-pasted from Donna or Cassie, similar to how CW Barry Allen took so much from Wally.

Why does DC keep giving CW permission to ruin their shit?

I'm late to the party, but I got trade paperbacks of Boom! Studios "Go go power rangers" and they're drawn well and add some depth to the show and they're a nice 90s style treat.
Rita is more of a true villain and threat and we see more high school scenes and kids at Angel Grove high. Highly recommend.
