Replication studies are meant to weed out the fake science, trash science has always been a problem, but replication studies aren't getting funded these days so it's getting harder and harder to identify the trash science. Though to be fair studies that can't be replicated aren't always a result of deliberate misinformation, sometimes scientists just accidentally stumble on an outlier, and sometimes they do make honest mistakes. My point is, you're supposed to do the same thing over and over again. This is why the idea of "settled science" is silly, yes there are certain things that are so universally considered to be true that it seems silly to go against it, but even those things need to be able to withstand replication studies.

I don’t think we should attempt to create life nor pursue in doing so, only horrid abominations awaits us.

Ironically, questioning science is literally how science fucking works.

Current Year "Science" is just a substitute for religion for demented leftards.

oh great another thinly veiled anti-science thread
The current state of most of the sciences is dire. The whole thing needs a spotlight shone on it and it need a whole load of skepticism and mockery (and a few mass hangings starting with the Covid culprits…)
There was a brief moment in the late nineties where evidence based everything looked like it would really get a foothold and then it was just extinguished. Back to money and politics and ideology dictating what it’s OK to look at or not.
At this point, 90% plus of it is worthless trash and needs to be razed to the ground
