One thing i don't like are the super pale faces on Cassandra and Sophitia. Like there is a big contrast between the eyes and rest of the skin, super pale.

Soul Calibur makes a great potential sex simulator.

Cassandra makes a great character to coom to.

Well I realized 2 years later after completing everything in the game.

The storyline was kind of alright though it felt like a Disney PG movie at times.

I main Mitsurugi. Pretty straightforward character to teach Maai while also rewarding those who like to advance hard and fast. Raphael functions like that too even though he does less damage per hit. Siegfried can be pretty fun too with how many stances he can take plus pretty good range. As far as waifus are concerned, Ivy is oppai dominatrix, even if her moveset got simplified in VI. Taki remains the same although out the series even though she's like a jet fighter to me. Seong Mina is fun to mess around with since she's easy to use, but is the opposite of most characters I'm good with.

I complained about this trend in the Unpopular anime thread too, but it's also applies to this series as well. The lore of the Soul Caliber series was pretty good until 5. Every character was in some state of a Faustian bargain and that's what made them interesting characters. Then you get to V where they tried to recast most of the cast with kiddie versions and those characters were stock anime characters. While that failed, VI still has an anime plot with the Aval organization, but lore-wise, the Aval organization sucks because of the events of the first four games. Apparently, no one realized just how adding in this organization makes the story about Soul Edge so much smaller. And Groh is just anime Siegfried, which is saying something. What do I mean exactly? Well, Groh lacks the character dimension Siegfried had. Siegfried's heel-turn was earned in between II and III by being the Nightmare of Europe. Groh is awkwardly shoved into the events of the story to make him more important than he actually is and his heel-turn is muted; the brooding jerk lost himself in his power? Meh.

They should release Soulcalibur 2 on Switch with Link (and preferably Spawn & Heihachi too).

I think even the first game on Dreamcast still holds up and plays great for its age, we still play it (emulated) from time to time.
We also played 2, haven't touched that game in at least 15 years. Used to own the Xbox version, but we emulated the GC one. Not a huge fan of using the GC pad for a fighting game though.

So, something of a necro post, but: I picked up SoulCalibur 6 a while back, and I wanted some tips. I'm a bit new to fighting games in general; played SC 3 a long time ago, but I was never all that good with it then, so I'd like to get some tips for general improvement here on SC 6. Anyone have any suggestions for characters, techniques, etc., that I should learn?

Every time I say something like this, people usually come crawling out of the woodwork to prove me wrong so I'll say it.

I don't think anyone on here is remotely knowledgeable about playing SoulCalibur and it's kind of a dead game at this point anyway.

I just use Geralt and Cassandra for the most part.

Though it's mostly button mashing in the beginning.

Takes a while to get used how to do moves.
