Considering how Nintendo will be focused on it's software with the other third parties, Microsoft is the only one now to really focus on their programs to better support the Series X itself which will hopefully give it a better handle then the original Xbox One launch.

As long as Phil Spencer doesn't go on stage and say "Fuck Niggers, Gas the Jews - race war NOW!" the XBOXSX will have a better handle than the Xbox One launch. Even if he does say it and apologies later, they'll still have a better launch than the Xbox One launch.

That said, I think the XBOXSX is going to be sorely lacking for games - I don't expect much out of the studios they bought, sadly Obsidian included. This is the same company that was so hard up for exclusives last year they fucking decided to bring over Phantasy Star Online 2.

In a sense, it's a great thing that Sony's skipping E3. I think they've realized that nothing will ever be funnier than the absolute catastrophe that was their 2018 presentation. I'm happy to ride that high all the way into the next decade.

On a more serious note, I do genuinely believe that E3 is superfluous at this point. It's no longer nearly as necessary to advertise games in a big blowout conference as it used to be, and in all honesty, most people who watch it nowadays likely do so for the comedic value of how terrible it is. Sony's absence will be felt, just as it was last year during an especially lackluster E3, but hopefully there are enough new releases coming to make it less noticeable. As always, I'm counting on Bethesda to deliver the goods; however, whether that means games or a hilariously bad presentation remains to be seen.
