It's not that they apply censorship with bias, it's just they have non-standardized guidelines. Western devs get their software subjected to it as well. It boils down to who your representative is when you go and publish. It's not anything out of the ordinary because both Steam and Microsoft have similar track records. The more I think about it, Soyny changed the most between the remaining 3 console manufacturers, and for the worse. They're bigger on censorship than ever (and apply it with bias), they're woke cunts, and they've abandoned every classic IP they made/have the rights to.
Legend of Dragoon? Ape Escape? Gravity Rush? Nah, just cringe "The Trannies of Us" type cinematic action trash now.
That's probably where the big money is for their market, but it wouldn't kill them to do something other than photorealistic AAA games, letting a few AA games stew on the back burner could only help them. No way they wouldn't make a decent profit from Ape Escape 4, I refuse to believe it.
At least sell the IPs or something...
I think part of that is that games are so expensive to make and a company like Sony would want to show off their platform and tech so going AAA is in their interest, to be honest the mega-huge publishers are the only ones that should be in the business of AAA. It probably makes the execs twitch if they knowingly sign off on a game using a (at one point) established IP that won't be huge but it will likely turn a profit even if very modest when compared to the blockbusters. There's been a lot of talk about cheaper to produce AA games but how about just making single Aaaaaay games? Ape Escape 4, $20, team of 20 people and simpler stylistic art and environments in the vein of Grow Home. Even if development keeps on trucking for 3 years that would still be cheaper than three months of development time on something like Last of Us 2 or God of War.The more I think about it, Soyny changed the most between the remaining 3 console manufacturers, and for the worse. There's no comparison, Ape Escape could be given a much larger budget and be just as expensive as God of War. Look how much the Crash and Spyro Remakes cost to Develop, bare minimum you're looking at that if you want more installments. Medievil was a smaller title but it gained zero traction with it's remake, Astrobot was free* but that supposedly ran more to make that medievil, in comparison Astrobot did wind up getting more recognition. A large part of games now is marketing costs. So you need to make sure they're graphically up to par so they look impressive enough to buy.I think part of that is that games are so expensive to make and a company like Sony would want to show off their platform and tech so going AAA is in their interest, to be honest the mega-huge publishers are the only ones that should be in the business of AAA. I wouldn't mind an "A" game, but at that point they may as well just start farming IPs out to indies (good, established ones). I'm sure Platonic could be trusted with a 3D platformer like Ape Escape. Yooka-Laylee was supposedly bad at launch but I played it after all the updates and it was good.I think part of that is that games are so expensive to make and a company like Sony would want to show off their platform and tech so going AAA is in their interest, to be honest the mega-huge publishers are the only ones that should be in the business of AAA. If you think there was ever any chance whatsoever of The Trannies of Us 2 being censored then I think you're a bit naive. It's not that they apply censorship with bias, it's just they have non-standardized guidelines. Also they just put out another Ratchet and Clank game which has been going on since the PS2. Nobody fucking bought Gravity Rush 2 that's why it was canned. More people bought Legend of Heroes which is probably why Sony is funding an anime for that,
Except it was censored in many regionsIf you think there was ever any chance whatsoever of The Trannies of Us 2 being censored then I think you're a bit naive.
I know that, I follow Censored Gaming's YouYube channel. Generally people are talking about America, that's even where the game was made and is in fact where PlayStation's headquarters is located. There was never any chance that horrendous sex scene was going to be censored, ever. The agenda is above the rules. Suck the ladydick, love the new sexy.Except it was censored in many regions
Dude Doki Doki Literature club was made in America and that got a scene slightly altered and that's also a tranny thing.I know that, I follow Censored Gaming's YouYube channel. My argument isn't that American games aren't censored, it's that Sony's American first party games aren't going to be censored especially if it's pushing an agenda. If Uncharted 5 was about a couple fags and the devs wanted a sex scene it'd be in there and I'd bet my life on it.Dude Doki Doki Literature club was made in America and that got a scene slightly altered and that's also a tranny thing.
They're not really pushing an Agenda though, TLOU2 was the only controversial one in subject matter, the first party games before and after it that were released didn't feature anything close to having an agenda. I mean you've had all these come after it like Ghosts of Tsushima, Demon's Souls Remake, Ratchet and Clank, Returnal, none of these pushed any sort of agenda. My argument isn't that American games aren't censored, it's that Sony's American first party games aren't going to be censored especially if it's pushing an agenda. I'm not saying every game is now like Microsoft's "Tell Me Why", but they're definitely feeding into the SJW problem in several ways. I don't really have much interest in Sony, after PS3 they had very little of interest to me (not a ton on PS3, in fact), so I don't know a lot about most of their games. I know it's not the only one though, Miles Morales pushed BLM.They're not really pushing an Agenda though, TLOU2 was the only controversial one in subject matter, the first party games before and after it that were released didn't feature anything close to having an agenda. you mean the 1-2 exclusives? or the better technical specs making shit smoother and prettier? because the latter I already got on pc.I played a ps5 recently and thought it was pretty cool. *shrugs*
Not going to buy one tho
Meh. It won’t mean much for the consoomers that will buy their consoles anyway if they haven’t already.View attachment 2405727
Another win for PC gamers I suppose.
Well the problem with this theory is that you can’t buy the consoles right now lol.Meh. It won’t mean much for the consoomers that will buy their consoles anyway if they haven’t already.
“We don’t need day and date support. We’ll wait for a port.”
Lies and copium. Games like FF7 Remake and Monster Hunter Rise were promised to be only timed exclusive games for console, so why have I seen countless people with “gaming” PCs playing these games on console?
FOMO worked for Mario 3D All Stars…

They said production issues could last until next year, but even then you don’t sell +100 million units year one anyway. Exclusives and third party games are spread out across the ~7 year generation to reach that install base.Well the problem with this theory is that you can’t buy the consoles right now lol.
I… don’t know? Maybe my Lunacy button wasn’t the right choice. Why is the idea of games being ported to PC an issue?
