Someone should show him what sabertooth considers "love" towards logan, especially on logan's birthday
For what it's worth even Chris Claremont wrote Sabertooth glad being low key gay for Logan in terms of banter.

I mean I get SweetBaby probably fondled their balls but of all the things to beat the character models with a fugly stick in, a comic book superhero game?

The industry built on square-jawed supermen and playboy models in spandex?
You new? The left have been purging the sexy from super heroes for ages. To the point that they turned Carol Dancers into a drag king who looks like a man.

Also, Sony does have a point that Kojima wasn't worth the hassle. DS1-2 underperformed, he was late and over budget and to be perfectly honest NO ONE GIVES A SHIT ABOUT KOJIMA UNLESS HES MAKING METAL GEAR GAMES....

The hilarious irony is that Sony can negate the bad press by basically paying Konami to reboot the Metal Gear Solid franchise. Only MGS1 and 3 are canon and basically erase MGS2 and 4 from the lore and give us more adventures of Solid Snake with the villains from 2 and 4 revamped and inserted into new stories.

PS Johnny "Akiba" Sasaki rules

when the fuck these worthless faggots started to call themselves "game actors" lmao. the industry cant burn soon enough
They should say "former anime voice actor Troy Baker" just to remind him of his previous career that he is so ashamed of.

A real, honest to God, quote from a senior Wolverine developer on the New York Time’s review of the game:

“Freed from the familiar, iconic love triangle involving X-Men leader Scott Summers (Cyclops), the Logan and Jean pairing is finally allowed rare tenderness. Even Logan’s famously violent rivalry with Sabretooth has room for love. When the two attack a military base, Sabretooth grabs the back of Logan’s head in a brief moment of yearning.
“Logan feels that yearning and he gets scared and pulls away. Sabretooth feels that yearning and it makes him hurt and want to lash out to exert that hurt outward,” Williams said. “Hate and love are so hand in hand ... you hurt me so I’m going to hurt you, and we’re still going to be linked because now the pain is shared.”

Veteran game actor Troy Baker is excellent as Essex, a slithery mentor whose motives never feel entirely clear, sometimes to the story’s detriment. The villains can lack convincing motivations as everyone converges around a MacGuffin device that’s typical of even the best superhero stories.
“Wolverine” doesn’t escape the familiar superhero trope of promising larger stories even as it finishes this one. The intimacy of the drama becomes crowded by revelations and lore designed to extend Insomniac’s superhero universe.
Insomniac takes more chances with Wolverine the character than Wolverine the video game. Here Logan’s love feels liberating. I only wish playing him felt the same.”

TL;DR Wolverine and Sabertooth have gay undertones and want to fuck.

"Let's fag the game up, they'll HATE that."

"Why aren't they buying our game?"
You can really feel the Sweet Baby Inc. touch on the story and characters...

fuck off, MGS2 is the best in the franchise and an excellent "meta" game, just let the franchise be fucking dead, we don't need more, having Snake "Go on Adventures" is retarded, the entire franchise is how he hated every bit of it beyond the thrill of the moment and all of his life he was manipulated to be a weapon, none of that was "fun" really for him, it wasn't an adventure.

MGS2 was peak and honestly my favorite. 3 is good but 2 is so much better and aged the best out of the first 4

Spoken like a cancerous tumor who buys slop games like Wolverine and Suicide Squad

Since when were 2, 4, and 5 non canon? I thought the only non canon MGS games were Acid! 1&2 and Reveangence.

I mean, that's definitely not true.
Yamauchi took a different approach with the SNES' successor the N64, however, which was released in 1996 at least partly to distract attention away from the disastrous Virtual Boy. Yamauchi admitted at the 2001 Space World event that he had deliberately ordered the N64 be difficult to develop for. The intention behind this was to discourage untalented third-party developers from releasing poor-quality games -- it was no longer practical for Yamauchi to personally approve every game -- but the plan backfired somewhat: given the commercial success of previous Nintendo systems, third-party developers were still keen to get their games on a Nintendo console, and this consequently led to a number of sloppy, low-quality third-party games that clashed significantly with the high-quality first- and second-party titles that were being released on the platform.

Unshaken by his failed plan, Yamauchi learned from his mistake and ordered that the Gamecube be simple and straightforward to develop for.
Today Nintendo hardware development chief Genyo Takeda repeatedly uses the word hansei ("reflective regret") when he refers to the difficulties of programming Nintendo 64 games. "When we made Nintendo 64, we thought it was logical that if you want to make advanced games, it becomes technically more difficult. We were wrong," he admits. "We now understand it's the cruising speed that matters, not the momentary flash of peak power."

Hideo Kojima's brain is fried. He hasn't made a good game since MGS3 and would rather LARP like he is friends with celebrities and plug some total garbage G- or PG-rated theater flick (in the hopes that the film and television industry will finally call and beg him to direct something).
I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he can edit a great trailer completely by accident using music recommended to him by mistake that he doesn't really understand. That takes a creative touch. But is he creative enough to call "creativ dad"? No.
So it doesn't surprise me that whatever big company that gives him money to make a videogame gets fed up and pulls the fuck out. I don't think I'd blame them.
Hearing people say Sony's finished because they're not publishing a 2020s Kojima game is like hearing somebody say a music venue is screwed because they couldn't book the Enuff Z'Nuff reunion tour.

But it's similar. Never a good idea to make your platform hard to develop for
It's not even slightly similar. One is a short-sighted and frankly a bit retarded attempt to reduce shovelware without having to manually and personally inspect every release, and the other is the hope that if you make developer's jobs harder in an already difficult transition period that they'll pick your platform as the default solely from the ps2's reputation and won't go with the guy not trying to fuck them over.

I think something is lost in translation there. It's not all that hard to write application code for the N64. Multithreading was a new concept in the 1990s, but the APIs are straight forward and well-documented enough, all things considered. What is hard and intentionally obscured is low-level programming. That part is completely undocumented and completely controlled. Don't like the way Fast3D works? Tough fucking shit. You can't touch it unless Nintendo shows you how. And if your name isn't "Rare" or "Factor 5." they probably aren't showing you how. They eventually relented, too little, too late, in 1998 or 1999.

The PS3 and PS2 were hard to develop for because the hardware was so conceptually bleeding edge that software models for it didn't really exist yet. In the case of the PS2, it was worth the tradeoff because it obliterated the Dreamcast, and being first to market by well over a year meant Nintendo never had a chance to catch them.

It didn't work out as well for the PS3 because 2005 was past the hump where exotic technology was delivering diminishing returns.

Sony, to its credit, regularly held seminars and events led by experts to help other developers understand how to wrangle the system. They weren't obscurantists about it like Nintendo was.

  • Guerilla made Killzone.
  • Sucker Punch made Sly and Infamous.
  • Naughty Dog made Crash and Uncharted.
  • Santa Monica made God of War.
  • Insomniac made Spyro, Ratchet & Clank, Sunset Overdrive, and Spider-Man.
These legacy studios, Kojima Productions included, are the same type of cancer. They're kept around for their name alone even though they're incapable of making the type of games that granted them a big name to begin with.
Naughty Dog didn't make Crash, in the sense that nobody who worked at Naughty Dog when they made Crash was still working there when they made Uncharted (and only one person who worked on Jak was still working there). Uncharted was also movie game shit before movie game shit became widespread. Naughty Dog now believe they're too 'mature' and 'grown-up' to have ever made a game like Crash

Wouldn't be surprised if the same was true of Insomniac and all these other studios

Whatever you think of him (and it's clear you don't like him), Hideo Kojima is still provably Hideo Kojima. Not only is Kojima still Kojima, half of his MGSV team including Yoji Shinkawa and Shuyo Murata defected from Konami with him. They are more legitimate than Sony's in-name-only shit

Death Stranding is a good.. "time", and it is explicitly Kojima, through and through, I say the only thing that's changed about him is his Celeb/Industry sheninagins, which he can pull off because all the big wigs in the Industry fucking love him and willingly sign on to be in his Games.

Death Stranding is basically a piece of story/Art that you sometimes play, and for that its half a game and half decidedly fucking NOT a game, just like all the shit he's made before, the story is good but can be cringe at times, and seemingly.. he wanted it to be cringe (everyone knows the scene), the sequel went off the rails but I can't say it doesn't have fun bits and scenes.
