I have a love/hate relationship with Kojima and his games. He's one of the last auteurs of gaming left, but he's also a pretentious hack that has gotten way too high on his own farts.
I love Kojima games because of the fun gameplay loops, quirky mechanics and attention to detail (even for things that don't really matter that much). People may hate on him for Death Stranding, but it takes real talent to turn delivering packages into an engaging mechanic. Even his pre-MGS1 games are all great fun, and most importantly, radically different from each other.
Where Kojima fails for me is in the writing, the man needs an editor/tard-wrangler to take his ideas and turn them into an actual script, with pacing and reasonable length. Kojima without adult supervision tends to go full retard, and Konami was right to kick his ass out considering how much money he burned on developing MGSV.
I hate the pants shitting guy because they married him to Merryl, and I also hate what he did to the poor woman in 4. Zone of the Enders 1 takes all the worst aspects of Evangelion's writing and ramps them up to 11, second game is actually fun though. Death Stranding is just gibberish, could have cut away all the dumb weird shit and just let me be a postman in the post-apocalypse, fighting off feral niggers trying to steal people's Amazon Prime packages.
I am curious to see what he'll do with his tranny horror game and this MGS ripoff (didn't he whine for years that he was tired of making MGS games?), if nothing else they will be unique, though I have grave misgivings about letting Kojima write the plot for either without someone to filter out the autism.
