I wonder how would YongYea favor this game. I guess people are becoming fatigued of Marvel games and Sony themselves. It couldn't had happened to a better company. However, I worry about the next Ratchet & Clank. If Sony wants to salvage Insomniac, they'd need to start a Sunset Overdrive sequel.Even ShillUp can't recommend the game. The amount of hand holding this shit has is baffling, are sony goyers really that mentally challenged?

I realize this is stupid question.. Don't really know how it all works, but just because Sony not publishing/developing Physint, this doesn't exactly mean it will be exclusive to Xbox only when it releases, does it? The game itself could still be multiplatform, right?
Utter layman opinion: Just about anything to do with working with any kind of data is going to become increasingly inextricable from AI assistance/performance. You are completely correct in that repetitious tasks (“render these textures at this resolution working within parameters x-y-z”) is what it currently excels at but AI have been writing their own code for a while now so offloading more and more increasingly complex tasks to it as humanity begins to shift its labor again in ways similar to the introduction of things like the steam engine driving the Industrial Revolution is I think a pretty natural progression. So from a wider perspective as well as a single-user practical sense, you’re correct, it just appears to me that the next-step QC following introduction of AI-processed code is where entertainment industries need to put some money toward developing some expertise.Interesting, I also know that these boondoggles started before generative AI took off as well. I know DLSS 5 is also coming here for assistance in this as well.
>I left Sony after PS3 because they don’t have Kojima gamesI have never gotten another Xbox or Playstation after PS3 and Xbox 360. This is the reason why.
Sony shareholder probably want the immediate return from live service slop games which kojima won't do. Microslop shareholders are still getting good returns from their cloud business and gaming is only a tiny slice of their portfolio so shareholders probably don't care as muchWhere do games come from? "When a mommy company and a daddy company love eachother very much..."? Obviously not, business partnerships happen because both sides agree the partnership makes financial sense. Sony dropped Kojima because they believe their partnership does not currently make financial sense. But Microsoft does? What's the deal? The most likely thing is that Sony's financials are bad enough right now that they had to choose between GTA and Kojima, and they chose GTA. Everyone knows that PHYSINT will almost certainly turn a profit (and cancelling a project for a tax writeoff is not a "get all your money back" button), but Sony needs big hits right now to get into a healthy financial position. Sony would have continued to support Kojima forever if Marathon sold 10 Morbillion copies because prestige titles are important for their brand even if they might not make all their money back.
I am increasing convinced that the heads of Microsoft and Sony are tired of video games and dont want to deal with the headache.
I am one hundred percent in favor of the small prestige studio era of gaming, where everything from inception to marketing is done in-house. This is where the “digital-only” thing is such a double-edged thing to my mind because to a great degree it eliminates distribution costs which was a barrier to entry into games from day one. The last time smaller developers were able to publish/distribute was back in the days of devs putting ads for their stuff in all the super-specialized gaming mags (Atari, Speccy, etc), which was 30-40 years ago; you’d cut them a check in the mail and they’d send you a floppy with art they likely drew or commissioned themselves. I’m ready for the Star Trek Future version of thatAnd it will be over.
sez you, tourist. mg crawled so the goonies ii could set the bar in the fucking stratospherebasically based on titles he created
I get that but at the same time, they greenlight shit that cost them more. Cutting him off might be easier but not wiser.Very true, but Kojima Productions was a publishing deal versus wholly owned failchildren like Bungie and Guerrilla. Cutting him loose doesn't require eating a huge write-down on their balance sheet.
This nigga gave Mixtape a 10/10, if that's his idea of a perfect game I don't wanna know what his idea of a 6/10 game is:the new wolverine game is getting torn to shreads lmao. 80 at metacritic so farView attachment 9547389
In the case of Raytracing they have their cake and eat it too, lowering costs on their end with automated simulations AND dumping all the expenses and extra processing costs onto the customer, thats why they love it so much.3) actually passing genuine cost savings on to the custome
My scam sensor is going off.Sony is committing seppuku with every modern move. From cancelling discs to now cancelling their partnership with a gaming industry veteran (even if you have your opinions on Kojima, it’s undeniable this is bad optically), they’re basically letting Xbox take advantage of their mistakes.
Whoever is running PlayStation has got to be one of the dumbest motherfuckers on earth.
I call them Sonygroes. Can we bring back the term gaystation and sony pony for anyone that still defends this dogshit company
