I emulate everything, there's upscaling and filters too. Emulation has came a long way and outperforms flawed half-baked ports most of the time

Their console is massively overpriced, their games are massively overpriced, and their shitty network is.....massively over priced.

Do they genuinely believe this will cause any PC players to go out and buy their shit?

I mean what even are they gonna sell? They basically abandoned all the weeb-y parts of their console output which is where basically all the exclusives with lasting impact and installer bases came from

Good for PC gamers, bad for Sony's long term investment on the PlayStation ecosystem. I say ecosystem because, again, Sony has to sell consoles. Henceforth, you need exclusives to do so.

Funny how they do this when the only games they have left to port over are games people would actually be more willing to play - extra funny that they decide to do this when PS4 emulation is starting to become more feasible.
 
I wonder if Sony’s in their “milking the whales” phase or whatever it’s called. Like they know they can’t get any new fans so they’re bleeding every dollar they can out of the fanboys that they know will buy anything they make.

It’s been years since Sony really focused on making exclusives, and even longer since they made good exclusives, so it’s too little too late. If Microsoft suddenly announced they were making all their IPs Xbox-exclusive like they did with Rare, then everyone would be furious and Microsoft would probably make less money in the long run, but Xbox consoles would skyrocket back into relevancy overnight. I can’t say the same would happen for Playstation since people don’t play Playstations for actual Sony games, and they haven’t for at least a couple generations.

Consitering that PS5 emulation is consiterably earlier in development than PS4 emulation... Sony can delay the inevitable for a little while by releasing just on the PS5.... assuming they can cope with not getting money on the playstation console more people own by a country mile than the one they're selling.
