It will be woke slop, anti Trump hatred, why do you guys want to give them money? On top of that, in game shop in a full price game with pay to win mechanics like in GTA 5, so it's all-round disgusting even if you love to suck the woke dick, why exactly are you giving these motherfuckers your money? I hope they charge minimum $100 just for the fun of it. It will be of course a success because gamers love to eat slop. But please do me a favor and don't pretend to be against wokeness or monetization in full price games.

There used to be a sort of cycle to it. Vice City satirized and criticized Reagan-era "conservatism" and consumerism, and then San Andreas satirized and criticized the glorification of black gangs and ghetto wars. 4 was all about mocking Dubya Bush-era neocons, while 5 mocked the nascent pre-Trump proto woke "sjwism" of the left at that time. Then, suddenly, the dlcs cut back on making fun of anything remotely left-leaning. Then, GTAO came out, and was firmly left wing, and in its updates, only ever got further and further to the nuttier side of things. RDR2 has you playing as a black-loving male feminist who stops evil poachers who are killing all the buffalo to frame the natives for hunting them to extinction, and has all the same politics and mannerisms of a leftist from modern day LA or London, despite supposedly being a gritty outlaw from the late 19th century. The idea that GTA6 won't triple down on all that shit is ludicrous.

Not because it won't be high quality but because the sole thing Rockstar cares about is selling Shark Cards to whales.

I think people will be expecting a sweeping single player campaign a la Red Dead Redemption 2 and instead the campaign will be extremely short and basically a tutorial to funnel people into GTA Online 2 or whatever they end up calling it.

Well I thought GTAV was massively disappointing. The online was fun initially, then it became unplayable with everyone flying around on those fag missile bikes. You know, the type of shit they made fun of that was a mainstay in Saints Row.

I haven't touched RDR2 yet since GTAV killed any taste I had for open world games from Rabbistar. But I might give it a go since I've not heard anything bad about it like ever.

I just bought my best friend's PS5 because it has games I've been interested in trying (and it helps him out financially.) Every device in existence since the mid 2000s knows that when an ethernet cable is plugged in to use that, and when there's no ethernet to connect to wifi. So why the fuck does the PS5, a console created in the era of online everything, not know how to switch between these two modes on its own? I remember despising the PS3 for the same reason.

Oh, they were going to. Remember the first delay on the game right after Trump won in 2024? I have to believe that it was fully because they had to rewrite a lot of the main script and a lot of side missions referencing Orange Man. Considering the game takes place in Gta's version of Florida, no doubt they were going to have an equivalent of MaraLago, or a Trump / Elon esque kind of figure in the game as a side character to make fun of and mock.

Oh yes you're right, I completely forgot that it was taking place in the GTA version of Florida. Yeah, they will do something about it.
I hope it won't be as cringe as that time Ubisoft made a mission in Watch_Dogs 2 where you hack into totally-not-Shkreli's apartment to steal all his money. They (voluntarily?) misinterpreted what he was doing to big pharma.

Watch Dogs 2 had a not-Trump and it had all the impact of a wet paper towel. I doubt this will be any different, especially since this game needs to fucking SELL and R* can't afford to lose out on customers by alienating them. Cut content will be crazy for this game, bro.

Normally you would be correct, but now GTA 6 is single handedly expected to save console AAA gaming, and therefore needs to sell an unrealistic amount of copies. No doubt this was the plan, but they have to make last minute changes if this shit will stick, failure of GTA 6 or even not selling enough copies could have lasting consequences not just on the company but also on the AAA market as a whole.

Also, RDR2's story was such a disappointment, holy shit. Maybe not the story but the writing and characters, good thing the gameplay is worth it otherwise the game wouldn't be salvageable. Speaking of which, was there ever a mod that removed the woke shit like not being able to punch/kill feminists?

Not when the entire industry depends on your product to succeed, no. Activision can go bankrupt because COD isn't holding up the entire AAA console gaming space on it's shoulders, ditto with Ubisoft. R* is too big to fail at this point, too many eggs are in the GTA 6 basket.
