I think most people don't have the right to criticize Flopoken, it just feels hypocritical at this point.

I remember when Guardians of The Galaxy came out, it received overwhelming praise from everyone, including nerds and gamers alike, but despite its writing being dogshit no one seemed to have realized it? Bullshit, people are way too harsh to games but make a pass to films and TV all the time, it's really tiresome.

In Guardians, the good guy defeats the bad dude by doing a TikTok dance, when TikTok didn't even exist yet. It somehow was considered a genius moment of screenwriting, it won many accolades back then from professionals, critics, and the public. But now, A game does something cringe but still nowhere near as bad as that, and it gets wrecked by everyone.

I'm not defending the game, it's a terrible game with appalling graphics that somehow can't run properly even on a supercomputer, but the double standards are there.
The GOTG are much more lighthearted characters. They're criminal goofballs who are largely competent and then make a break into galactic vigilantism with a love of their future. This bitch is a ratty ass hobo with a bad attitude who's been given amazing power and wants fuck all to do with it. It's almost like Roald Dahl said:

No, you can't say that.

Can i not see black ass niggers promoted on my facebook feed, Sony? Thanks.
I got curious as to what the game is, and I honestly have no clue what you do in it other than toss food around. A comment on YT put it best when they said that the creator probably looked at English Breakfast on Dreams and decided to make it a whole game.

You know, when someone does this thing on a program like Dreams, it is cool. There might not be gameplay, but it shows off some talent from the player base. Making this into a game with worse graphics is just sad. Maybe there is more to it, but gameplay looks boring…

"The era of white male games for white male gamers is ending!"
I'm a female gamer who has been playing video games for over 24 years. In my time gaming I have played games with people the world over. However, not once have I come across a black female gamer.
I've known a few in person. They were all eloquent, had normal names, and dated white guys.

The only people who would have paid attention to a Guardians of the Galaxy game would be people already interested in capeshit, so they're already primed to be optimistic. Forspoken got attention from the JRPG crowd, who aren't exactly gonna be receptive to an asshole hoodrat protagonist. Plus, I'm sure Disney spent a whole lot of money astroturfing reception of that game, while Square Enix can't afford to. I've seen plenty of totally-not-advertisements about how great some Marvel gacha mobile game is, too, despite never ever watching Marvel or phone game-related videos on YouTube.

It will continue. Snoyboys will keep losing. The only thing Sony is somewhat more sane at is its actual movie division, and even then they're still shit. A game division is not supposed to be a movie division as they already have one.
I can't remember where I saw this opinion but I read somewhere a person admitting that failspoken had a lot of bad points but they liked the movement. Then it dawned on me that its just a cheap imitation of Warframe... Which is free. If anybody is playing because they like the movement style you could just play Warframe without paying $70.

I don’t think even capeshit fans paid attention to Gaurdians. That game sold poorly due to all the shit Enix got over Avengers being ass. No one was excited for it, and it got pity points after the flop as being some hidden gem.

As for the Marvel gatcha-game, I see it a lot to. Never played it and don’t know anyone who has. I have also seen that weird Midnight Sun’s game that is apparently some edgy Marvel rpg for PS5. I just look at the cover and ask, who is this for?

Look, I enjoy some cape-shit, but I think the reality is that the older stuff was way better. The entire genre is basically playing catch up to a Batman game from 2009, stumbling as they continuously over complicate it. Otherwise, developers are making these skill tree bullshit titles. I remember the first Ultimate Alliance being fun, then like 15 years later Nintendo makes a 3rd game full of grinding. What happened to them just being simple?
