Except the PC crowd never waits, it's actually a whole different demographic filled with gatcha players, people who play a single multiplayer game for 10+ years, or MMOs. They're not the same as console players and there is very much a divide. It's why Sony is going to be targeting PC with it's multiplayer games full of microtransactions because it's what most PC players wind up spending their money on instead of full priced titles.

What has happened with God of War Ragnarok is spreading the word on the first game caused a surge in the second. So much so that on the NPD sales it ranked higher than Pokemon.

The series is on it's way to being enshrined in the Action Adventure genre just like Legend of Zelda. The PC port for GOWR is looking to be very very long wait because it's moving both software and hardware in larger numbers than any other Sony first party game has done before.

I'd be surprised if it didn't sell more than Pokemon considering it's on both PS4 and PS5.

I bet it will be on PC before long, too, that just sounds like fanboy cope to me.

No one remembers that character. It's just an excuse to race swap. I didn't watch the last Spider-Cuck movie as it was just character assassination of Peter Parker. Just like this will be.

The only acceptable animated Spider film would be an animated Spider Ham movie.

They gave a minimum 1 year for titles, but the PC port maximum timing is based on if the game is still selling. Once GOWR stops selling then a PC port is announced sometime later. Being that the game is a major draw to the system and has broken all first party records for sales, it's going to be a big wait.

Into the Spiderverse had Miles, Gwen, and Multiple version of Peter Parker. Gwen's universe is the only Peter who actually died because he became The Lizard. It was by no means a character assassination, you don't know what you're talking about. It's different versions of Spider-Man all working together.

Spider-Man has always had a sense of humor around everything, expecting it to not be silly in someway is out of character for it.

Here's what Sony said about the PC ports

And I hope that a new set of fans can and will enjoy that title. And that’s the goal — we want to reach new gamers who haven’t yet experienced the great stories, characters, and worlds that we’ve built. Releasing games on PC will not come ever at the expense of building an exciting lineup of great console games.

There's no maximum set date for the PC ports, which means any big sellers will have a far longer time to get to PC than something like Sackboy.

Spider-Man wasn't a "silly" character until somewhere around 2010 when that fat piece of shit Dan Slott started writing after the disaster that was the Civil War and One More Day arcs. Go read any ASM pre-2000s and there's nothing silly about it. Spider-Man was a serious guy with serious problems who also threw out humorous taunts to annoy his enemies. Marvel has butchered everything that made it good ever since Civil War, and it never recovered. And over the last few years they've been working hard to bring the worst of the new comics to their movies and TV shows.

Ultimate Spider-Man had Peter do or say stupid things. That predates 2010.

But if we're talking about writing disasters, Miles was never properly written as a character until the movie and the game. Those are the only pieces of media where he was given actual character and wasn't just a blackwashed replacement. The whole real life story of his origin and the inspiration for his creation pretty much co-signed him to oblivion and this was in 2011.

In comparison Spider-Gwen outlasted the likes of Gwenpool and didn't have such a rough start to existing.
