I already know that there has been a TLOU 2 thread, but I have to say:

This just does not seem accurate. Not even Death Stranding looked like this, and I actually like that game, Kojima jokes aside.
I have to expect part of that user score is because they paid the $70 for it.

So long as daddy Microsoft is winning that's all I care about!
I don’t want Microsoft or Nintendo to win, I just want Sony to lose. I may have said this at some point earlier in the thread, but Xbox isn’t the best at anything; however, it’s the second best at a lot of things, making it a good jack-of-all-trades system. It’s fast, user-friendly, cheap (especially a Series S), has a huge library of backwards compatible games that are even enhanced beyond how they played on their original systems, and Game Pass is an excellent deal for games you know you won’t come back to after a few weeks, especially considering it also includes new AAA releases. The mod-less emulator support is great, too.

Different systems for different people. I believe a Series S/X is best for people who want a low-cost, hassle-free way to play a wide variety of games. The PC/Switch combo is best for power users who don’t mind doing a bit of tinkering to get the best experience. A PS5 just isn’t best for anyone, especially with its few significant games being ported to PC.

I can't believe anyone is saying this with a straight face like Microsoft won't sink the dagger into their backs the second they get the chance.
Whenever guys like Phil Spencer leave, it's possible with who replaces their positions. For now I'm enjoying what they're doing overall. They're not going out of their way to make people hate them like Sony, or Xbox under Don Mattrick, so you don't get much shit-talking about them here.

But anyway this is the Sony hate thread, not the Microsoft or Nintendo debate thread.

Once I get this gaming rig built, it's likely that I'll wind up ignoring my Series X too and just go full on PC. Switch emulation is apparently getting better, so I might sell my Switch soon as it is as well, so... 🤷‍♂️

You might as well consider buying a Steam Deck if that is the case. It is the best of both worlds: It is a PC in a gaming handheld format that can handle Switch emulation.

Trust 'the plan' bro Xbox is gonna have a bazillion exclusives in 10, maybe 25 years, just trust them and buy gamepass bro don't worry gaming is definitely not going to fuck everything up in the long run by turning games into TV streaming where you have to have 16 services to play anything and where you will own nothing and be happy goy.

But seriously there isn't any real reason to own either console right now due to pathetic game output. Just invest in PC at this point.

I can't believe anyone is saying this with a straight face like Microsoft won't sink the dagger into their backs the second they get the chance.

Found the Sony fanboy.

Pro-consumer approaches and Gamepass on both consoles and PC, pretty much. As long as they keep filling that up with great games, I don't mind waiting while they get their first-party shit together.

Outside of 343i fucking up Halo, there's really not much to hate. No overly SJW stuff in their games, no CEO that is a dickwad. Otherwise they'd probably have their own thread.
I don't care about the Xbox itself, I like the PC. That's why I like Xbox's approach, they're releasing everything on PC right off the bat, plus Game Pass is a great deal if you want to play old games with minimal config and so on. Not to mention Bonnie Ross just left 343, so it looks like Halo's going to improve.

The only thing Microsoft could do to make me even acknowledge their existence is to put all of their XB & 360 exclusives on Steam (Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, etc), and update the ones already there to work on Steam Deck.

Most of the MS games do work without issue on the Deck, if it doesn't work use ProtonGE and that solves the issue
I'm pretty bad with computers, I don't know how to fiddle around really, so if it doesn't just work I usually give up (unless it's just like remapping a button or tuning cursor sensitivity from in-game menus).

I should learn some of this stuff eventually, especially tweaking performance to balance performance and battery life.

Sony's getting rid of the disc version of PS5
What the fuck? I haven't heard about this piece of news yet, sounds like another excellent business decision by Snoy. Do they have a statement out as to why they are doing this? I mean, we all know it's because they want to jew customers even more by forcing customers to buy directly from them, and only them, but i'm curious about how they conveyed that fact to their customers in corpo snake-tongue speak.

I would advise looking at somecallmealex's video about ProtonGE, it's pretty informative.

OG Xbox and 360 emulation aren’t quite there yet, but they’re showing improvement. It’s also very easy to dump your 360 games with an unmodded system, so I’d recommend dumping them now so that you’re ready to go as soon as it’s ready. Emulation autists really are the true preservationists of gaming.

They're copying the same mistakes as with the Xbox One under Don Mattrick.

Yeah I'd say most here game on PC, so they treat Microsoft more as any ol publisher than a platform holder.
Actually, there already is a "let's shit on Microsoft" thread.
Halo Infinite could fill a dozen pages of that thread alone.

* Sony ponies on suicide watch knowing Game Pass generated over $2.9 billion worth of profit for Microsoft.
* Sony's getting rid of the disc version of PS5, leaving the Series X the only next gen console with a blu-ray drive (people use the drive for things other than games).
* God of War Ragnorak has gone gold. Now the Playstation 5 has SIX whole games to play (not mentioning the fact that this could conceivably come to PC within the next year).

Okay, why do I need a PS5 again? I have a Series X, a Switch, and a PC (and I'm saving up to build another one next June).
Ragnarok is a ps4 game
