Isn't shadow the bad guy? Does that mean Sonic supports ICE?
Thinking what my favorite fictional characters think about real life events is very cringe and a sign of autism. But i shall indulge this.

The Sonic i remember values freedom and free will above all else so no, i doubt he would not like ICE on a personal level, but maybe he would understand why they needed.

As for Shadow, the quote from 06 fits well here.

"If the world chooses to be my enemy, i will fight, like i always have".

It's funny because that game due to it being intended as a reboot at first and being shit at least does shadow kinda ok... You know outside him working for the three letter agency that killed everyone he loved and put him in cryosleep and then covered up his escape by framing it like sonic was doing shit and then arresting sonic. Look my point is it's kind of weird for him to join GUN offscreen given the baggage he has with 3 letter agencies.

They said they were sorry alright!

but seriously though, the people involved with the Ark incident are long dead and the new leadership promised something like the ARK incident will never happen again (considering he was also there and almost died himself, i believe him.)

There's also the fact that:
a) His maybe-sort-of best friend works for GUN.
b) Who else is going to give him a job? He's probably not content just sitting in a sun lounger all day like Sonic.

Shadow is very chud coded. The fictional character would agree with MY politics.

Shadow's own game was literally about feds fighting invading aliens, and siding with the former was the Hero path and siding with the latter was the Dark path.
it was less siding with the feds and more helping sonic and the other peopel that claim to know your amnesiatic ass from the last game with the feds just kinda being there doing their own thing on the side as the hero side ending. GUN spends the whole game hunting down shadow to kill him regardless of which side he takes. He does not associate with the Glowing Uranium Niggers

It's more Earth vs Aliens more than Government vs Civilians.

Even so there's like 4 whole factions in that game's plot not counting shadow himself. You got sonic and the rest of the guys from heroes as the "main protags" since it's pretty much gameplay wise just heroes locked to speed team with chaotix mission structure and a direct followup to heroes story wise, you got the ayys who's leader wants his 50 year debt of the chaos emeralds and is kind of in the dark about the shit the last 50 years but doesn't care because he wants tot ake over the earth and colonize it. You got GUN who're still fucking aiming to get shadow because their new commander is a guy who specifically was frightened by him as a small child and blames the ARK massacre on his creation, and then you got eggman who's making bootleg robot clones of shadow and testing them out in his base while also getting pissed at the aliens doing his job he normally does.

pretty much everyone's against each other, but also they all hate the ayys for fucking their shit up.

4 factions (5 if you count going solo) and they all have little to no depth and attachment because of the fucked structure of levels. Shadow the Hedgehog could’ve been so much better if the gameplay wasn’t so bleh with so many “find X thing and if you miss one your fucked” type levels. Better story too, Could’ve just been 5 distinct paths to follow instead of the clusterfuck of thousands of them that all blend into mush.

If heroes had come out a few several years later it'd probably have been a DLC addon game for it.

Issue 6
Art:

Similar affair to the previous issue. Nothing to write home about. Some of the pages are incredibly ugly and/or have huge borders in some of the pages.

Synopsis:
So to recap, Sonic found an amnesiac Eggman who’s now calling himself Mr. Tinker. Tinker announced at the end of last issue he wants to Sonic Eggmanland. Shadow is conviniently there and conveniently overhears this and of course now he and Sonic must fight.

This fight essentially serves as a vehicle to dump game info on the reader. I am sensing a theme in these issues.

(Look at those huge borders! All that negative space wasted)

Anyhow, Sonic convinces Shadow to calm down, Shadow demands to see “Eggmanland”, and it turns out to be a small amusement park for children.

(More huge black spaces. Now that I look at it more closely, that silhouette of Eggman is incredibly lazy)
Everyone heads off, but Sonic still has his doubts. The excess of expository dialogue and internal monologue in this issue is bizarrely reminiscent of Sonichu.

(Even looks like something Chris would draw)
The issue ends with a twist. There seems to be a second Eggman with his memories intact.

Closing Thoughts:

I have trouble reading these issues. I can enjoy a stupid comic if it’s fun to read. But IDW Sonic so far is dull and bland. I’d rather read Pender’s issues since he can make an interesting comic, even if it’s for the wrong reasons.

I actually hate this little blurb with every fiber of my being. We're not stupid, we can figure shit out based on visuals. Just a "next time, answers!" would've sufficed

To be fair, it's probably just an random DEI thing as opposed to them babying their fan base (again). But even then, Sonic's fanbase isn't that retarded. Well, most of the ones who are actually on the web.

I'm gonna piggyback off of this and say it's for the sake of Lil' Timmy and his first-grade friends.
Also, blurb-kun sounds like he's having a stroke.

Nigger what? It's supposed to be kind of a narrator of sorts that spells out what some people's reactions would be. Im pretty sure this isn't really all that uncommon to see in stories aimed for younger demographics (technically the intended audience for the comic even though majority of the readers are just manbabies or trannies).

Yeah, but after a certain point you'd have to wonder who actually reads this and just how far they're removed from normalcy. But even then, I can easily see this being used as an scheduled reward for an turbosperg.

Idk, it's just feels like kind of obnoxious if it's that short and it's summarizing what I've just read a second ago. But I've also never gotten into comics when I was younger, either. The only two that I've read wasn't exactly great. But hey, those were tie-ins
