Not to mention the streaming show (mid as it was overall) and the possibility of more of those.
If they're going that route once more I at least hope for Rambo Tails based off Tails Adventures (as unlikely as that will be) But something tells me a Shadow spinoff based off the 2005 game with CGI Black Doom seems more likely.

Cute doesn't necessarily mean sexually attractive, which is obviously not what they're going for there. Plus isn't she younger than Sonic normally? That probably puts them closer to the same age range, if anything.
Yeah, let's be honest here. Cute doesn't always mean sexually attractive, and it was pretty presumptuous for some people to suggest so.

On a semi-related note, here's a leaked list of Questions for the Bumblekast from years ago. I dunno if these got read or not, but from what I heard from my source, it was a bunch of IDW-stans frothing at the mouth for characters to be gay at a certain point. Sega and IDW dodged a PR cannonball by making Flynn throw his hands up, and give up being THE Word of God for Sonic through his podcast.

You guys remember that the current writers on the english side are the ones that grew up during the time Amy was known as an obnoxious Sonic fangirl right? Even if she had good moments, that's what permeated the fandom, to the point you'll see very few people that say the current amy is bad, at worst boring maybe, but not bad. The gag became all consuming to the fandom and this is just a very big and bland overcorrection
I could not agree with this assessment more.

moviebob IS eggman
Nope, moviebob can't make cool robots. Also there's no way he works out at all, Eggman is thin everywhere but his gut and canonically outpaces sonic when he really fucking needs to get the fuck away. That and he's actually provable high IQ. As for his spergery and autismal rage at some blue jackass who breaks his shit for fun dude has every fucking reason to hate the little shit unlike moviebob who's literally ranting about vague non existant people.

Ah shit that reminds me the backround for sonic 1 was that sonic and eggman had been rivals for years before the game takes place. It'd be funny if the reason he decided to take over the world was just cause sonic kept breaking his shit and he couldn't legally prosecute him because he was an animal person.

>Be Sega
>Have game series with one of the most beloved soundtracks of all time
>More consistent quality than the games they're featured in
>Barely use these songs in the Hollywood movie adaptations despite ample opportunities
>Finally decide to use exactly 1 song in the 3rd move
>License song from writer, as he owns it
>Learns you've been using his music for more than just the game it was written for
>He sues you for royalties

Lol

it's almost like Sega should stay away from music composers/celebs in general and just have all their music in-house because hiring someone else to do their work always seems to fucking backfire on them. Sonic 3 (the game, not the movie) being the worst of these backfires.

See part of me agrees with this, but then the other half of me remembers Shadow the Hedgehog and Magna-Fi, Julien K, and Powerman 5000 being there and how much they added to the game's personality.

Frankly if I was in charge of the Sonic franchise I probably would of went off the licensed music deep end and gotten myself in trouble lol

You forgot
>lose the ability to rerelease one of your most popular games because you never secured the rights to its music
>finally manage to remake it with a much worse soundtrack that’s hated by everyone
>learn absolutely fucking nothing from this

The problem with Amy is there's a big Sally-shaped elephant in the room.
They have other girl characters, Blaze seems like the perfect 'strong independent female' candidate while Amy or Cream could be the standard girly girl, I don't see what Sally specifically has to do with this, you're probably just some squirrel waifu obsessed *oldfag* who needs to get with the times.

I want to know exactly wtf was said in that meeting room when the discussion of the music was brought up. You just know there had to be at least one autists in that room that was like...
  • "hey, so um... everyone knows about the beta thanks to Sonic Retro streaming it on Twitch. Maybe we should just use the arrangement from that since it was received very positively."
  • "NAAAAAAAAH, let's just take the god-awful midis from the PC collection everyone hates and make it 'genesis' style!"
At this point, they HAVE to be doing these things out of spite. No one in Sonic Team could possibly so fucking retarded that they have zero knowledge of what people like and don't like when it comes to classic sonic and it's legacy.

Part 7 supposably is still a thing but I'm prepared to see them to make Aeon troon out in some way, the wiki seems to have some weird extra backstory for him, I didn't even bother with the reading it but it's there.
I know this is old and you're long gone but uh...at least you won't have to worry about Aeon trooning out in part 7...in the worst way possible:

It'll end up like that Bioware Sonic RPG where they lost the actual OST and had to replace all the tracks with demos and MIDIs they got off the Internet.
I played the shit out of that game but without the volume since the speakers blew out. I uh, dodge a bullet it seems.
Sonic Shorts Volume 10
Ooooh shit I completely missed that, hope it's better than 9.

Nah im saying that Sally was always great in the comics of soaking up all the annoying traits. Blaze would be an excellent candidate but the problem is her obscurity and backstory

No, the solution is remaking the likes of Sally from the ground up, while still being faithful to her previous characterization that people loved about her before. Sega of Japan openly admitted that thebonly reason why they don't use the FF, is cuz they have no clue how to write them. So they simply don't bother. Frankly, as much as it pains me to say, that's probably for the best, eslecially if Flynn is still around, trying to make her gay for her phone.

Just use the sheep.

On one hand, I don't blame them for saying that, considering the games continuity is drastically different from the cartoons/comics (although Sonic Forces is pretty much the closest they've ever gotten to something similar)

On the other hand...

They didn't have any issues using them before.

Spinball was an American developed game first and foremost, and had more of a formal "okay" to feature the Archie characters.

Plus, what @The Lawgiver said.

This was a game made by The American side of Sega Technical institute. So, Sonic Team was not involved with it.
