I love how even official writers can't even help themselves but ship characters. It's like if you even find yourself getting interested in sonic you become more autistic.

My mentality on sonic has more or less been the same as when I was a kid which is "haha I want to see funny fat man's wacky scheme and see the blue rodent beat the shit out of him". Liked how the archie comics tried fleshing out the dic shit a bit but it was weird sometimes with one of the most elaborate nonsense charts penders started putting in like the fucking knuckles family chart that's specifically there to show how knuckles dating his GF isn't incest despite them sharing a common ancestor in their family tree. Like I didn't even need to know that shit.

I think most of the sperging around Sally has to do with various shipping wars of the past decade. Combined with dozens of autists sperging about how Sally and the Freedom Fighters need to appear in a mainline game, it somewhat makes sense that she got a bit of a bad rep. Still doesn't really justify Sally being one of those fictional characters you see Redditors with a poor grasp on reality constantly A-Log.

ROFL. Honestly, I don't have any stake in the 'tism either. I just like Sally as a character. They've always portrayed Amy as a jealous cunt / girlboss, and I've always found that annoying. Sally actually had a personality, clear motivations (other than hopping on Sonic's dick), and was a well respected leader in her own right.

Both sides are more like the left side in behavior honestly! Also can't not associate the sally side with fucking richard kuta's insanity. Overall both are nice.
Sally's from the DiC sonic shows, Amy's from the actual games, and both of them got pretty nice relationships depicted in both respective series but in different ways. It'd be neat to see the DiC guys in the games but they'd need to warp their lore a little so they could fit since the games have a pre-established cast and background of "oh it's just earth but kinda anime/cartoony" instead of some implied post apocalypse. At least they all got cameos in spinball's bonus stages where sonic's playing pinball instead of being the ball.

In the comics, probably yeah. In the actual games? She's just the goofy/annoying fangirl friend that really REALLY wants to marry the guy that saved her ONE TIME WHEN THEY FIRST MET to the point it becomes a comedic banter topic between them.

I never really got the war between the 2 online by sonic people, they aren't even the same universe save for the comics versions!

I agree, but there's always post reboot Archie to turn to if you want to see more "Modern Sonic" style versions of the old SATAM cast.

Literally an intended challenge. Only one that was truly painful for me in a jank/unfair way was the car stages where you couldn't touch anything or you lose.

You can eventually pull it off with enough trial and error to know the bullshit parts but it still sucks ass. (Seriously how are you even supposed to dodge that Artificial Chaos blob behind the door? You can't approach it since the door's blocking it, but while the door opening animation plays it's attack can clip through the door.)

Oh yeah, Rouge's car stage is an especially infurating mess on that 4th mission with 'don't touch any walls' because of the very narrow tunnel segment with a turn in it.

There's also the 5th mission/Hard Mode treasure hunting stages that are hit or miss for me. Good part is, the objectives are always in the same spot so you can do a test run to see where they are and map out the most effecient route for them, but the bad part is that some of their placements is in shitty fixed camera angles or sometimes it requires luck of sorts? (How are you supposed to get that one key in the cage in Egg Quarters for Rouge by destroying it with a bomb from the monkey robot if there's a chance it'll pull out a big one and let it drop on itself suiciding in the process?)

But one element you likely can agree is bullshit on is the ring dash mechanic and button implementation. Something SA2 and Heroes love to do on the higher difficulty version of stages is implement a trail of rings suspended above a bottomless pit, and often at the end of a homing chain of midair enemies. You have to both align yourself perfectly in front of it or else you shoot to the side and fall to your death, or especially in the case with Sonic in SA2, time the button input or else you do the bounce ball attack.

Also why not possible to speed up Chao Races reeee

Lioness - Female- Huge Dyke Lesbian, lots of potential for pride jokes.
Falcon - Female - Bisexual but prefers other girls.
Giraffe - Female - Pansexual but prefers other girls.
Sea Otter - Female - Omnisexual but prefers other girls.
Gopher - Female - Asexual but open to romantic relationships only with other girls.

Fuck you Penders, your characters have nothing on Flynns.

Is it a fetish at this point? What the fuck is going on with Comics? Are they really that pozz'd in current year? (Asks the man who hasn't picked one up in 23 years). I think the last comic I actually read came out around the time the Spider-Man One More Day shit dropped, and by that point I was just pissed off enough to the point where I wanted nothing to do with the medium anymore.

I'm fairly sure he was joking, but this isn't the first time that IDW has pozzed something up. I'm sure theres some Transformersfag somewhere here who can properly illuminate to us what IDW did to the Transformers comic.

Oh, I'm well aware of what the "modern audience" is doing to Transformers, given the fact that they turned Transformers One into a Marvel movie, and what they did with Earthspark and inserting gender bullshit into it. Prime was the last good thing to ever come out of Transformers animation before entertainment went to shit. I'm somewhat of a Transformersfag myself.

To think it all stemmed from the writers trying to explain why Arcee was the only female robot in the comic through being created through non-consensual gender reassignment surgery.
