I'm wishing Sega would use the actual video game characters.
Characters from Yakuza, Golden Axe, Altered Beast, Streets of Rage, Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, etc. would've been used instead, but no Sega still wants to milk the blue hedgehog until the end of time

The Sonic Show (Sonic youtube channel that had a spat with lolcow Dillin Thomas) sperged out over Mike Pollock last week, uploading a video rant calling him unhinged and whatnot for not being a full-fledged jihadi and wanting Israeli hostages returned.

Minor cow crossover today in the streamer Bowblax's stream watching over the Mutahar video on Keffals.

His (literal) autism over Palestine aside, he made a mention online about Sonic news pages deliberately hoarding leaks like that of the Sonic Rumble early gameplay footage just to maintain 'exclusivity', and that numerous people in that sphere warned him against covering and uploading that same footage they all had copies of but didn't want to post.
What the fuck happen to old sonic show it seemed they gave the channel to now owner (jaiden). Old sonic show was run by a community of people my guess there probably at tails channel

Well, Looks like invites for the Sonic Rumble closed beta test went out today. Since, I got invite to take part in it as a tester. Though, while i would like to share gameplay and screenshots it's restricted as per usual closed beta protocol. But, i should be able to share my thoughts here once the tests are finished.

Yeah they sold it and moved on. It's never really been the same since.

I can't imagine Sega being THAT paranoid where they'd be willing to lurk KiwiFarms of all places.

So what was the first Sonic game you've ever played? For me it was Sonic Free Riders on the Xbox Kinect.
Sonic 1. I'm old. I remember seeing a demo at the store and being excited, got a Genesis that year for Christmas with Sonic 1 bundled in, Ninja Turtles Hyperstone Heist, and Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition. Good trio, that.

Vaguely more interesting is the very first vidya rental I ever did was... Sonic 2, since me and my brother were excited we could play Sonic, together!

The ban on sharing screenshots and recordings is lifted, so I might as well post this:

Also they put some info in their Discord server's FAQ channel about how the game will work:
Round 1 is ALWAYS the "Run" mode

【Run】

・The rule is to get to the goal before the other players
・The round ends when the number of participants who reach the goal reaches the designated number or when the time limit runs out.
・The top 16 players will advance to the next round

→If the number of players who reach the goal within the time limit is less than the specified number, the next round will be held in the order of the players with the highest number of rings at that time.

Round 2 can be 1 of 3 options.
- Survival
- Hunt
- Team

【Survival】
・The rule is to survive longer than the other players!
・The round ends when the number of dropouts reaches a certain number.
・Up to 8 designated survivors may proceed to the next round
→If less than a certain number of players are eliminated within the time limit, the players with the highest number of rings at that time will proceed to the next round in that order.

【Hunt】
・The rule is to get as many points as possible within the time limit.
・The round ends when the time limit runs out
・The top 8 players with the most points at the end of the round will advance to the next round

【Team】
・The rule is to divide into two teams of 8 members each and aim to beat the other team by joining forces with your team members.
・Team battles can be cooperative races or point-scoring battles.
・All winning teams advance to the next round
→If the game is not decided within the time limit, the team with the largest number of rings in its possession will advance to the next round.

The Third and Final round is the "Ring Battle".

【Ring battle】

・The rule is to run around the stage and aim to possess as many rings as possible.
・The round ends when the time limit runs out
・The winner is the player with the most rings at the end of the round
Game_rules.png
You'll kick off the first round with 32 players.
- The first round will always be a "Run" round, where your goal is to cross the finish line as quickly as possible while gathering as many rings as possible along the way

The first 16 players to reach the goal will move to the second round while the other 16 will be eliminated.

- The second round will either be a "Survival", "Hunt", or "Team" challenge. The top 8 survivors, players with the most points, or the winning team respectively, will move to the third and final round, with 8 players dropping off.

- The third and final round is the "Ring Battle". You'll aim to claim as many rings as possible by collecting them from the floor and taking them away from your opponents!

Challenge mode is exactly that, a challenge for you to complete and prove your skills!

But before you get started, you'll need to unlock your first challenge.

To do this, all you have to do is play ring survival matches and complete Amy's Requests to level up your Season Pass and unlock "Bronze medals".

When you've acquired the necessary Bronze medals, head over to the "Stage Challenge" menu (the button under the Season Pass) to unlock a challenge.

Important things to note about the Challenge Battles:
- Challenge Battles do not give the same rewards as normal matches and do not count towards Amy's Requests.
- You will only receive rewards upon clearing a Challenge for the first time.
- Battles that require 4 people can only be attempted in teams of four, however, during the Beta, this feature will be disabled

The first step will always be to open the settings menu. This can be done by tapping the 3 lines on the top right, followed by tapping the "Settings" button.

Change your Player Name
- When in the settings menu, tap the "Change" button next to "Change your player name"
- Enter your new name, confirm, and voila! You've got a brand new name to showcase

Note: There is a 7-day cooldown before you can change your name again.

Change the on-screen button layout
- When in the settings menu, tap the "Customize" button next to "Battle Settings"
- In the UI section, you will see "Virtual Pad Layout", tap the "Customize" button
- Here you can freely drag around the buttons and adjust the button size
- The "Invalid Camera Control Area" is the area which you can not use to turn around the camera. You can move this as well. This area helps ensure you do not accidentally turn the camera while pressing a button.
- When done, hit "Save" and you're ready to go!

Change Camera Settings
- When in the settings menu, tap the "Customize" button next to "Battle Settings"
- Under the UI Category you'll see the "Camera Settings" section
- If you want to adjust the settings, tap on "Manual" next to "Camera Controls" and you can freely adjust the in-game camera
- Once the settings are to your liking, you're all set to go!

The waiting screen for Sonic Rumble reuses the sound effects from Sonic 06
I See that you are a beta tester too. Well, may run into on the field later today. Also, I'm glad they decided to lighten up on the screenshot policy and allow people to share their gameplay on the internet as knowing what I've been seeing online some people probably would've broken the rule anyways.

So far from what I've played of Sonic Rumble, It's a pretty decent mobile game. Things that could need improvement would have to be the player movement speed being a little slower than i'd like so I hope they maybe can improve upon that from now til release. Also, The game does have battle passes that are unlocked by red star rings which i assume you will have to pay for with real world currency in the final release. Though, non-paying players can earn red star rings by playing various challenges in a challenge mode to get red star rings. The 3 rounds you play of the main game are pretty short and quick fire as you would expect for a mobile game. My favorite game type mode in the 2nd round would have to be the survival minigame as it can be fun to see how long you can last with out getting knocked out of the arena. For, those wondering there are a ton of unlockable characters like Riders amy and eggaman, Stuff like detective Tails from the Murder of sonic the hedgehog and Rouges outfit from the same game. All in All, I look forward to the full release as i hope they can iron out some more bugs and adjust the speed of the game a little bit.

Red Rings have always been the "Premium" currency of the Sonic World on Mobile devices. Every now and then SEGA will throw free players a bone by giving them a few for doing good, but otherwise they are absolutely needed if you want to have THE BEST shit in the game (i.e. characters and easy level-up without spending a fortune with regular gold rings). It's practically one of Sonic Forces Speed Battle's issues (the other being the "4 prize chests only and they unlock via time limit" bullshit) because once you get passed beginner mode, you're immediately matched with players that have way better characters than you and can fuck you up instantly because they decided to whale early and get the gold/purple/green/teal characters.

The Silent Forest survival round can suck my dick. On the other hand, I’ve been enjoying the Seaside Hill chase as well as the team based survival minigames (the ending of Sky Sanctuary with the tubes and the platforms is annoying as fuck however)
I’ve also enjoyed the music. It’s nothing to write home about, but it’s impressive that they were to take garbage songs like Chemical Plant from Sonic Forces and make them listenable.

Yeah, I hate those Pipe Ducts at the end too. Another thing i hope they add is putting power-ups in the race round like the boost power up on the field to let players go faster.

Ow The Edge was supposed to be even edgier
"You know, let me tell you a funny story," Griffith said in response after I admitted I was a huge fan of the game. "Back when I was recording for that game, for Shadow the Hedgehog, I don't remember what year it was, but they sat me down in the studio and they weren't sure what rating the game was going to get. They told me they were going to shoot for an NC-17 rating… or what is the game version of that?" I informed him that would be an M (Mature) ESRB Rating, and he continued.

"Right, they were going for an M-Rating with this game and they hadn't heard back from the agency if they were going to get it yet. So they had me record two takes for every line, and I swear, the version that was for the M-Rating, they had me say fuck in every single line. It was just every sentence, I would be yelling 'Sonic, give me that fucking Chaos Emerald!' or something like that. I had no idea what was going on but I just went with it, and I had fun. There's a hard drive somewhere with hours of recordings of Shadow yelling fuck at Tails and Sonic and stuff," he finished, wistfully looking off into the distance.
