I fucking love how catty these bitches are. Every single topic on Sonic Retro is full of 35-year-olds getting pissy over minor differences in opinion. I suppose you can only take the torture of being a Sonic fan for so long before you get passive-aggressive about everything.

EDIT: The thread exploded into autists accusing one another of being raysiss and it's real funny.

One issue I hope Sega fixes with this remaster is the unlockable music.
It’s pretty well known that you can unlock music tracks from past Sonic adventures to play in levels by completing challenge acts in Sonic Generations. However, it’s not as well known that the songs taken from Sonic 3 (both parts), Spinball, 3D Blast, and the Advance trilogy aren’t the actual versions of the songs, but rather these strange, MIDI like remixes of them. Some of them are alright, but most of them I’m really not a fan, such as the one for Flying Battery Zone:
Ideally I’d like these tracks to be replaced with bespoke remixes (or at least better ones that are already made, most of the songs in Generations have been remade countless times), but I doubt Sega would bother going the extra mile, so I’m just hoping they replace them with their original counterparts.

Has anyone played the sonic 16bit triple trouble fangame? Its really good! enjoying it so far. I wish sega just contracted autists to make their sonic games like mania. I dont understand making these big epic adventures when its about a cartoon hedgehog.

Not only that, but Door Into Summer is missing the 32X drums.

The MIDIs from Sonic 3 are the ones from the PC Collection. I have no fucking idea why they constantly go to that abomination when both the original genesis AND beta have MUCH better sounding songs than Collection. it's like everything about Sonic3K they can't help themselves but stick their dick in it when it doesn't belong there.

Thread in proving grounds for Sonic fanartist Cuisine/MissPhase. I recall the guy getting involved with that backlash towards fellow sonic porn fanartist Ctrl-Z calling out troons in some genderswapped Sonic flash game of his, staunchly on the pro-troon side for obvious reasons.
Is this weirdo related to the fan game Sonic Storm by any chance? I remember thinking that game looked sort of interesting, only to learn that they made Tails a girl because they're trannies obsessed with their fetish of feminizing little boys ...THEY JUST CAN, OKAY?!?!?!

I don't think so, but I wouldn't be surprised if the dev of Sonic Storm is into similar stuff.

Yeah, it's pretty great. The dev is also working on a 16bit version of Drift too.

In other news, the singer for Silver's theme in Sonic 06 (Bentley Jones) is returning to the franchise for "multiple projects". They've done a ballad version of "Diamond in the Sky" from Sonic R as like a bonus thing. Not a bad cover at all, but it's hard to beat TJ Davis's original vocals.

Bit late, but the Knuckles Show trailer dropped yesterday
https://youtube.com/watch?v=1kETt59yn6ASpoilers: It seems like humans are the main antagonist of this show
Obviously wimpy main human companion-schtick aside, does look somewhat promising even if in terms of stakes it seems a rethread of the first movie. Might actually catch me off-guard if they'll go beyond the Pachacamac-looking dude cameo (tribe leader from flashback scenes in Adventure 1) and include the Chaotix trio briefly as well.

Am I a fool for actually being somewhat more interested in this than seeing the obvious Adventure 2/Shadow tribute stuff and Generations Shadow game? I get that SA2 was one of the most well-remembered games in the series but the Shadow fixation really seems like they're going to try and milk his popularity again for all it's worth like back with his spinoff game.

For what it's worth, what leaks have come out show that the third movie isn't going to be a 1:1 telling of SA2. Especially since it appears to involve time travel.

I played the 16 bit drift game, its available to download. Still an obvious beta and rough around the edges but a cool concept. Are there any open source mario kart style engines? I know fighting games have beats of rage and mugen.

Sega Reports 'Sluggish' Sales Of Sonic Superstars And Other Major Titles

even the guys who wrote the article called SEGA out on its dumbass decision, lol
We're just speculating, but maybe - just maybe - releasing around the same time as Super Mario Bros. Wonder probably didn't do Sonic Superstars many favours.

On the flip side, however, Pachislot and Pachinko Machines appear to be doing rather well, with Sega revising its unit sales forecast from 178,000 to 179,000. Not a huge increase, but still, the numbers are going up.
