This is correct. There are two ways to get the good ending:
he is decently cool but he's definitely more of a... idk how to say it without sounding like im talking nonsense but he looks like more of a shrek character than a sonic character. does that make sense? like he actually works as a design for an edgier property but while sonic can and should be a little edgy, it was always meant to contrast mario which is for little, little kids, but it's meant to be very safe kind of edgy. Shadow works because kids love him because he's completely inoffensive in his edginess. Whereas I use Shrek as an example because that does have edgy character designs like this and you wouldnt question it, it reminds me of the villain of the new Puss in Boots as an example
I don't know why shrek was the first property that came to mind to you, but I agree that I dont think he looks like a sonic character, makes me think more of like Jak or Vexx
I dunno about that, his design looks way too close to an edgy Sonic OC.
They also had this eldritch horror, so I don't see how Dr. Finitevus looks too edgy.
I dunno, I find something pretty unpleasant about his design. I think it's his ugly face and tentacles for hair. And I also say that if we're gonna have Sonic characters not looking like Sonic characters, I would strongly prefer the edgier designs.
I'd argue that Mimic's design is intended to give that unpleasant vibe. Especially considering he's responsible for nearly killing off his own team.

Knuckles doesn't really look muscular, though (except in Boom).
I meant that knuckles is the kind of person who should physically look jacked af given his strength but isn't.
The 2011 version had an achievement for destroying every robot generator and Metal Sonic hologram in a single playthrough. But you have to be very careful if you try to get that and the “get all Time Stones” achievement in one run. Getting all the Time Stones makes it so that all robot generators in later acts are pre-destroyed, meaning you can’t destroy them yourself, so no achievement. You have to get the last Time Stone exactly on Metallic Madness Act 2; no earlier, no later.
So you want him to have a six pack? I'd think that'd look pretty weird.

Fleetway already did the better evil white Echidna like 10 years prior to Finitevus being a thing.
I don't know if he's better because I never read Fleetway, but Finitevus looks cooler and that's good enough for me.
