I want knuckles to flash or turn green for a brief moment in the next game so penders loses his shit over his green knuckles nft distributor copyright ownership of knuckles being fucking green. I also want this so fucking gaming trivia vultures begin just going "DID YOU KNOW... KNUCKLES TURNED GREEN BEFORE IN THHE ARCHIE SONIC COMICS WHEN HE GOT EMERALD CANCER DUE TO BEING THE CHOSEN ONE"
With how sonic games work it's literally only a matter of time before this happens and I fucking await it each day because I find knuckles being green really fucking funny.

EDIT:Holy fucking shit I forgot to mention this.Shits blatantly obvious and has already been covered, but it's surreal how fucking vitriolic people were getting over sonic vs. genshin impact. They're both fun games and yeah sure frontiers probably deserved it a bit more but I unironically had friends start pulling some shit with me over this shit I didn't even fucking care about or vote for. Actual most deranged I've seen sonic guys in years to the point it bled over into the more normie tier sonic gamers.

Also it introduced glitches that were not present in the original versions of the games.

Kinda like what Sonic Adventure DX did to Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast.

That and it gimps sonic CD's menus instead of just leaving the superior remastered version from almost 10 years back or so, and they removed the fucking instances of sonic talking probably because classic sonic doesn't talk now but apparently it's due to some bug and not an intentional removal. There's also apparently some Jank caused by origins being ports of the mobile ports of the games but that's unrelated.
The fact they changed the sound files for the games but didn't fix the "mystic cave 2 music replaces hidden palace music" thing from the mobile port of sonic 2 is really egregious.
I think the worst thing about origins is they pulled a "GTA trilogy definitive edition" and removed all other legal means of buying the games immediately after that was proven to not be a thing customers like.

The more I see SEGA's actions, the more I think they WANT people to pirate their games. Between this and constantly shoving Denuvo in their steam games when no one asked for it, it's like Sega doesn't give two fucks about their audience. Not only that, but hackers and modders wind up fixing their broken games after release anyways.

That's like almost every dev these days though.

Just always assume any new game, especially the AAA ones, is an expensive beta test where the consoomers are the QA department doing it for free.

That’s bullshit. I’m not paying for an unfinished product. It’s like ordering fast food and only getting the extra ingredients you wanted when you’re halfway done eating the fucking thing.
 
There is a pretty clear difference between unfinished ans unpolished, and even then, there are great games that are either or both, like vampire the masquerade or KotOR.
Glitches suck yes, but there are some games that you can clearly see passion and everything is very fun, but they either didnt have enough time or have other problems, but still the game ends up being good.

Well yeah, but I want a game to be the best it can upon release. And sure, there are far worse examples, but that doesn’t excuse Origins from being criticized in its own right.

They didn't exactly pull things from the Nintendo side of things, Including the compilation that was unlisted from other platforms, and that's not counting the Genesis games they're now legally obligated to keep from unlisting themselves for however long that contract they signed with Nintendo for the $50 NSO Expansion Pack lasts.

I always think of Postal 2 when it comes to discussion of unpolished and glitchy games that were made by people who gave a shit.

Hell, in Postal 2 the bugs only make the experience even better.

or, alternatively, sonic fans are incredibly difficult to please because theyll decide they hate something based off of stuff like levels being too long, the story being not autistic enough, zavock being in it, sonic having green eyes (a classic) or even the game being a year old now

Looks like this game is selling quite well.

Must have roped in a lot of the kids who got into the franchise via the movies. Next year's DLC will probably give it some decent legs, too. In any case, hopefully this means Sega will give their Sonic games actual budgets going forward.

I really hope that now that they have this template and they are making more characters, that this means that the next game will be a Adventure style game
 
For all the fanfare SEGA made surrounding Sonic's gloves and shoes in Colours Ultimate, it's strange that they've barely done anything with Frontiers' potential for customisation besides throwing in the SA2 shoes, maybe as an afterthought after they worked out the Korone and Monster Hunter brand promotion.

SEGA had the Monster Hunter costume implemented in Frontiers by at least November 2021 (Given the game was originally intended to release then in time with the cross-promotion), so it's not as though throwing a bone to fans of Riders or even Jet Set Radio/Persona/Zelda would've been more difficult than the SA2 shoes.

You forgot about the mountain shoes and gloves you can only get in the digital deluxe edition becuase breaking the early game with the items you get to start with with that edition wasn't enough.
