Important note: This was directly ripped from the Sonic The Hedgehog youtube channel, it was posted after the stream ended. I will post the IGN/GameTrailers stream fuckup here when converting is done. Have fun watching. Christ.

Fucking pointless stream.
"Here's the same dogshit gameplay from Frontiers we already showed"
This pretty much, but the boss was at least something new. Laughed at the Knuckles GFuel flavor.

The starting part where they talked over each other and Japanese translator was also talking so it made it just a nightmare to listen to.

Nothing new for Sonic Origin other then the mission mode which was kind a neat.

Also the borders are pretty nice and cute, still wish full screen was a option but at least they added style to it.

The final thing I have to say is that it's a disgrace that they kept the screen size for Sonic 3 multiplayer even in Anniversary Mode.

The Roblox game part was really unintentionally funny, for some reason NibrocRock works on it.

He's a pretty popular Sonic 3D render creator or something, for some reason he got really into the Sonic Speed Sim and made art for it and got hired afterwards.

Just really bizarre and I don't even know if he makes good money from it because of Roblox cut and SEGA cut.

It was really funny when the narrator fucked up Mephiles' name.

Now onto the merch section.

--6--
Sonic Prime didn't show any Multiverse stuff like I was hoping and instead just showed Shadow which was probably a move because of the movie.

Does really give off Sonic Boom Cartoon vibes though.

--7--
The movie advertising section was just kind of there, again nothing we didn't already know.

Ben seemed really pushy in it was well which made it even worse.

Btw sorry about the ending, the file got corrupted.

--8--
Just like Shadow, Knuckles seems to be getting a resurgence as well with the Frontiers animated series thing, hopefully there's more to it then the Colors Ultimate one.

It would be neat if Knuckles and the Master Emerald became relevant in Modern Sonic plot again, it could just be like the Forces prequel comics though.

--9--
Liked the starting music for the Frontiers part and the weird robot thing looked cool, nothing was shown that was opinion changing which is something that they really should have put target focus on.

Also the background black clipping shit was weird.

--END--
And that was it, it was just like the last one and very underwhelming.

The livestreams of it are mostly just waiting lol.

Here's the hands-on preview. Make of it what you will.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=ZkCvVtZ_ZZM
Confirmed early build, I fucking knew it.

Mentions of a skill tree, EXP drop from enemies and so forth. And the AI voice is not Amy, which is something a lot of pro shipfags have been hammering on about for a while just because her VA baited them a few times. They were already pretty retarded about it, but confirmation is always nice. Gameplay from those little snippets did look visually better to a degree, so that's nice to see.

Overall fairly happy with the two vids. Kinda stupid they didn't use this opportunity more to show off stuff to really build hype and goodwill, but eh. Peanuts compared to the early build confirmation.

>"Sonic's done a lot in 30 years: he's been a pioneer of the high-speed 2D platformer, an Olympic athlete, a fighter, a TV star, and a blockbuster Hollywood movie star as well....."
Wait, I thought you guys said that Sonic was "never good"?
>"After flying through a wormhole with Tails and Amy, Sonic finds himself alone on an isolated island, with nothing but an AI voice guiding him towards the Chaos Emeralds"
Would you say it's a.....Forgotten Land?
>"the version I played is an early build"

They didn't have a more up-to-date build to give you guys?! Also, incoming Sonic copium: "SEE?! IT'S AN EARLY BUILD, THE FINAL GAME'S GONNA BE MUCH BETTER!"
>"there's a lot of work to be done"
Hey, lemme file that one under a giant manila envelope labeled "NO FUCKING SHIT".

I thought the impressions vid looked a lot better but it's the exact same footage so I have no idea. It looks brighter and more stable, and i'm wondering if that's something IGN does to their videos to make them more appealing or if Sega fuck up the settings and that's why their version looks muddled and dark.

Well, I don't really know who's more incompetent here anymore. SEGA or IGN?

every tine a developer says its in a beta, early accesses, alpha, pre-alpha, pre alpha beta etc, i dont believe it for a second anymore.

Everything SEGA does with sanic is all unintentionally funny, for both good or bad. 2017 Sonic event? Peak comedy. Sonic Central? Very cringe but had a hearty chuckle. Sonic Frontiers going to be a shit show? Looking forward to it. Sonic Team is the gift that keeps on giving

That was pretty boring, mostly things we already knew, or extending on already established collabs. Maybe this Knuckles prequel short for Frontiers will be better than Episode Shadow, but that's not a high bar (Infinite's backstory is unintentionally one of the funniest things in a Sonic game).

Even if IGN is going for the same "it's an early build for Frontiers" copium, I still don't trust them. I guess Tails and Amy are going to be here, and that voice from the reveal trailer is some kind of AI that's guiding him? Or is it supposed to just be Amy?

Why would SEGA even try to lie about the open world thing, they say normally open world games have RPG themes or are RPGS but then we get a confirmation that there is a level up system.

There's another wrong with this after all Sonic Unleashed did the same thing and it was just fine there but still it's funny how literally everyone can see through the whole "open zone" thing, it's trying to be an extra gimmick kind of thing but it's literally just an open world game with platform elements.

Also the IGN even if it seems that he doesn't know what a Lightspeed Dash is, went just ham (or as much as he could) on the game which was pretty refreshing and they brought up all the main problems everyone has, it just feels like he was holding back in the first gameplay videos.

Yeah, based on SEGA's track record of telling fucking lies 100% of the time in the past, I'm going out on a limb here that the "Early Build" line is straight up a lie. It's a lie that perfectly feeds into what the coping fans want to be true. SEGA knows, they read the cope comments.

"The final game will be better" This cope has been true exactly zero times in the past. But it is the eternal cope of the Sonic fan. Just take my advice: Put this in the trash where it belongs and go download P-06.

It doesn't matter either way, even if it is a early build that doesn't mean anything, they should have could have done more polishing because this is something that you gave to people gaming journalists to play and showcase gameplayer because of that it makes even less sense to pull a move like that.

But at the same time with all of SEGA's past loses and the fact that Frontiers has become a punching bag because of its lackluster quality especially when it escapes the Sonic fandom and becomes a kind of meme, Sonic's reputation was completely obliterated because of 06 and Sonic Boom was a huge financial failure plus to add even more to IGN has spoken up in their exclusive Frontiers videos.

They are dumb yes but something that's difference between Frontiers when it comes to 06 and Boom is that those were hidden and significantly better versions of the games were shown off.

Anyways the point I'm getting at is that SEGA is retarded and slipped out with this all but would have to be beyond void brain and stubborn to actively hurt themselves for the third time, at most this game is going to be like Forces or Colors where they are fine but nothing really special especially because SEGA is reactionary, after 06 they limited to just Sonic along with along with listening to other popular criticisms.

The reason why Boom was super fucked was because they made rash decisions like the Nintendo deal, seems to be the same case here but in this case it only forces them to get their shit together instead of completely destroying the project like before.

Don't forget the 25th anniversary stream.

Plus it doesn't feel like just confirmation and more like damage control since they could've said that from the start.

I really don't know why their marketing team is so galaxy brained. There's no way they didn't know how it might have looked.

Honestly, I'm semi banking on the theory that they intentionally showed off the previews like this, and have a much more clean and stable looking version already in the works until it releases... but gamedev builds that are much better and clean looking are usually missing things anyway.

I mean take 06 as the prime example. We know for a fact that there was a much more content heavy version in development, but it wasn't able to be completed by the player. So they had to resort to the much less stable, bug infested version that could be finished to meet the holiday deadline.
