I'll have you know that I think 64 and maybe Assault, if I'm being generous, are the only good games in the Star Fox franchise. Everything else is either meh (1 + 2, Zero, and Adventures), or hilariously terrible (Command). You're as bad as Star Fox fans.

Joke is on you. Those are all the same game.I'll have you know that I think 64 and maybe Assault, if I'm being generous, are the only good games in the Star Fox franchise. Everything else is either meh (1 + 2, Zero, and Adventures), or hilariously terrible (Command).
Why does one have to be good? Every 3D Sonic is shit except for 3D Blast. My second hot take is that Sonic Adventure is the only good 3D Sonic game.
>3D BlastWhy does one have to be good? Every 3D Sonic is shit except for 3D Blast.
I cannot play 3D blast the isometric perspective plus the checkerboard tiles hurts my head to play. It just feels off and by the time I get to spring stadium I am done. I respect the programming TT pulled off and respect Jon Burton's efforts to fix the game (judging from his dev videos he had to radically rewrite p[arts of the game to even get simple changes). The controls just suck, the platforming sucks, and the graphics literally pain me in a way few games do. I have beaten the game once but never again. Why does one have to be good? Every 3D Sonic is shit except for 3D Blast.
Lol what a cone!I cannot play 3D blast the isometric perspective plus the checkerboard tiles hurts my head to play.
On the subject of Vectorman, I still can't believe Sega cancelled the PS2 Vectorman game simply because his redesign was too similar to Master Chief's. Why not just have the developers just redesign him?Don't forget Phantasy Star, Vectorman, Ristar, Virtua Fighter, Comix Zone, OutRun, Shinobi, Skies of Arcadia......SEGA's list of dead franchises are almost as long as Ninty's, if not longer at this point.

A Vectorman game for the Sony PlayStation 2 was in development by Pseudo Interactive, but it was soon cancelled for unknown reasons. According to initial reports, it was to have been vastly dissimilar to the 16-bit games. This project was interesting because it had full destructible environment and a grappling hook similar to the one used in Just Cause 2.
Joseph was able to test an early build of Vectorman PS2 and shared some interesting info:
I play-tested this game for Pseudo Interactive before it got cancelled. I had never heard of Vectorman at the time, so I wasn’t comparing it to a game that already existed. But what I found was: the physics engine was awesome, and the AI was incredible. At the time, I had never seen a game where some AI will hide behind walls, others will run and gun you, a couple will try to sneak around to flank you… the AI programming was simply amazing, and it was all done by one guy.
What I did NOT like about the game was how confusing I found it to figure out where I was supposed to go next. But this was probably because it was in the alpha stage and the texturing wasn’t done yet.
It’s the controls and repetition that get me. Everything feels like ice unless you use the Fly character and moving from rail to rail is a crapshoot. Still better than Shadow the Hedgehog though.I got a hot take; Sonic Heroes is severely underrated. I played it again for the first time in like 8 years a while back. It was surreal; the Internet had re-conditioned me to hate it but I had so much fun playing it again. The game's structure resembles that of the classic Genesis games, with the two stages and a boss, and the level design gets really creative. The game's also got a much lighter approach to story, which is really interesting to me considering the early 3D era of Sonic, from Adventure to 06, tried to tell more complex and serious stories. And the music is really damn good; I'd forgotten how fucking awesome the music in the rail and mansion levels are.
I was also playing the game on PS2, which, from what I can tell, is the worst version by a significant margin ( running at 30 fps vs the 60 found in other versions, sound effects that are straight up absent). I dunno, even in its gimped state I was really enjoying it.
This isn't to say there aren't severe problems, because there most certainly are. The special stages are the absolute worst in Sonic history, especially the last few. And the game is pretty repetitive with all the teams navigating the same levels. The individual levels are different and they do try to mix things up, but they end up feeling like you're just doing the same thing again and again. The process of unlocking the final story is painful because of this; it's almost not worth 100%ing the game (I kinda quit halfway through Team Chaotix, though I also hate their mission-based levels).
^this man gets it(Puyo Puyo) wasn't made by SEGA and turned to shit when it was.
Wasn't Lego Sonic already a thing because of that one toys-to-life Lego video game? The ultimate autism experience! Sonic + Legos!
I miss the non-online Phantasy Stars.
Yakuza is an amazing Sega franchise. And technically Atlus games are Sega now. For a LONG time Sega was a fucking mess, arguably even back in the Genesis days, but they seem like a fine publisher in the last few years.
The Flicky shit needs to go or be reimagined. 3D Blast had a lot of potential imo.>3D Blast
>good
Mediocre at best. The Director’s Cut tries its best to salvage the game but the Flicky hunting just isn’t very fun (IMO).
Yeah, LEGO Dimensions had Sonic. I am pretty sure his speed broke the Wii U version of the game. Cool set and addition, too bad his level played out more like a Twitter meme than a Sonic level.Wasn't Lego Sonic already a thing because of that one toys-to-life Lego video game?
Still, I'd say the ultimate autism experience was already hit with Minecraft + Lego playsets. Brick builder in a brick builder.

I never knew Heroes was hated until later in life. Everyone in my school liked it so I always thought that was the consensus.I got a hot take; Sonic Heroes is severely underrated.
